IDK why, but the wind instruments (but Pablo is right, it might also be violins) Stromae is using in this song really reminds me of Angelo Branduardi. Both are modern bards. It's kinda infuriating to see the most vehement contempt about prostitutes is coming from people who are supposed to respect Maria Magdalena. But Stromae achieves to paint a fair and respectful portrait. You're seeing some dictatorial regime à la Eva Perón, I also see Gaddafi women's guard, but there are so many other international references : the Russian general cap, Pakistanese parade troops... and many other I didn't identify.
