Thank you for this! I used to live in Milan and I miss it more than I can possibly say. The sounds and sights of riding the metro are so nostalgic for me, and watching this helps me feel closer to my beloved city. Grazie mille!

I feel exactly the same! I studied at Politecnico and now that I’m back home I miss Milan so much… I used to take the M2 a lot, so this video brings back many memories

@@jessicalutz0315 So you went to Cattolica, right? And yes, it was Piola! I used to live in Citta Studi, but spent a lot of time in Lambrate as well :)

@@hloddy Yes, Cattolica! I went to the Carrefour right off Piola a lot; it was much bigger than the Carrefour Express just down the block. When were you there?!

It has been 26 years since I first rode the M2. On Saturday 5th July 1997, when I rode the M2 from CS to Cadorna, it was on the original rolling stock. M1 used similar rolling stock, albeit with adaptations to the live rail setup.

@@Mr_casaralta Sai cos'è, l'italiano, come altre lingue, sta subendo una influenza anglofona molto consistente, quindi credo che un pochino di italiano ben studiato vi faccia più che bene. E poi se nel video di un britannico si parla di una città italiana, il video secondo te a chi può essere rivolto? Ad americani? Auuahahaha

I wonder how they used the metro back then in the 1960s if the line was split to two segments. No countdown clocks? No announcement? No rollsigns on the sides of the train?

I wonder why in the Milan Metro stations, at the line transfer stations? why do they have separate faregates for each line?

No matter how they’re labeled, after you pass the gates you can still switch lines. I think the different labels are just there to help people get around..

This Is the underground central station. The central railway station is from 0:00 to the elevator.
