I travelled by this Frecciarossa trains on many routes, during my many trips to Italy in last few years: 1. Milan to Venice. 2. Venice to Rome via Bologna. 3. Florence to Milan. 4. Naples to Milan via Rome. That time the maximum speed of these trains was 300 kms per hour, as shown on the display board above the passage. My last trip was in 2017; thereafter I had to cancel at the last moment my planned trip in 2020 because of COVID pandemic. I plan to go again shortly after the problem is over at least brought under control. Italy is a beautiful country, and the Italian people particularly those from the southern part, are very informal and friendly. My knowledge of basic Italian language helped me a lot to communicate easily with the local people and gel easily with them. They made me feel as if I am one OF them, not just one IN them. ITALIA, QUANTO TI AMO.

Thanks for the experience. The last time I was in Italy, in 2019, I used the rail from Milan to Venice, back to Milan, to San Remo, to Monaco, back to San Remo, back to Milan, to San Marino, to Bologna, to Naples, and lastly to Rome. From Bologna to Naples I rode in the Executive Class section. Big comfy chairs and very clean. I was by myself in that section so I had my own person serving me drinks. Gotta splurge once in a while. Can't wait to go back and travel by train again. We don't have rail where I live so going to Europe and traveling by train is pretty much the only way I travel around whenever I'm there.

I was in Italy four years ago and used the FrecciaRossa from Rome to Florence, and Florence to Milan, along with TreNord lines to Bergamo and Genova, and the TreNord express to the airport. I agree with the video poster as per Premium being a great value for the money, and that is what I used. I've not ridden the Argento and Bianca trains, nor the private Italo. My only other point of comparison would be Amtrak's Metroliner which preceded Acela. I think it's safe to say FrecciaRossa is orders of magnitude better. Hopefully I'll get to experience the ICE, TGV, Thallys, EuroStar, the Spanish high speed trains, and the Japanese Shinkansens. Plus others I missed.

7:28 Just to be clear: the fastest line in Italy is limited to 300 km/h because of a political decision. Some lines would actually be able to go at 350 km/h, I believe the line between Milan and Torino supports 400km/h as well (which is why the train was certified for higher operational speeds to begin with).
@NonstopEurotrip
@NonstopEurotrip 2 жыл бұрын
Too much power usage, I believe.
@cw7886
@cw7886 2 жыл бұрын
Not political decision, economical decision. Too much power usage, thus not profitable. French TGV has a line where they did the record breaking 574km/h. Commercial trains also run only at about max 315km/h there. China reduced the speed on their high speed train a while ago due to the high deficit of the lines despite having a lot of passengers. Politicians would be so happy to show off the highest speed train line in the world otherwise.

For most touchless sinks, the sensor is on a timer. You MUST hold it there for at least 2 seconds for the water to flow. The angle and depth of the hand are different for many models. Newer models are more forgiving. The older ones required a closer hand to sensor specs. Older models required people to put their hands well inside the sink to avoid splashing. Newer ones are higher.

Can't wait to see those ETRs running in Spain. Trainsets or lines may be made for 400km/h, however there is no in-cab signalling system in revenue use allowing more than 350km/h, which is still a great mark, used by ETCS Level 2. Newer systems may have this speed increased in a foreseeable future. Nice work, regards.

If you enjoyed Brescia, I may suggest you to visit Bergamo too, it's fairly near Brescia, although being another province (that has a little rivalry going on with Brescia lol). the most beautiful sight it's the old fortified citadel, Città Alta (litteraly High City), wich is also a UNESCO site if I recall correctly. There is a cable railway to get to it (otherwise you can walk) and a lot of small little side roads and small "piazze" (squares) wich are very beautiful, not to mention the sight of the low part of the city you get from the public gardens on top of the walls.

I see in a lot of European stations English is being used as the second language, it’s mimicking the airport announcements and trying to get the railway passengers away from the airlines and use the rail transport system including cross border travel so makes sense repeating the airline announcements if they want the public to use the train

Fascinating trip, Premium Class is definitely worth it. Yes Brescia looks like a wonderful city well deserved to be visited. Is amazing how those steel canopies in these "old" train stations, have been made for forever, and can perfectly receive these incredible futuristic trains. Even though I have only traveled in the French TGV, Frecciarossa is for sure one of my favorite High Speed trains, however, the Spanish AVE is terrific too, and their new "Duck", Wonderful ride, thanks. @Hastdupech8509
@Hastdupech8509 2 жыл бұрын
Geological conformation? More like overdesigning lines which ends up in raising costs and consequently building less than what we need. This is why Milan to Venice takes this much, only the Milan-Brescia and Padua-Venice sections are completed while the rest is being built very slowly due to costs largely increasing. The cities are distant 250 km but these trains run on normal tracks for 150 km, with the result of paying a high speed service that doesn't reach high speeds

@Hastdupech8509 2 жыл бұрын
@@FrancescoDondi Such a pity they're taking so long to complete that, but hey, we think that freight needs to travel at 300 kph and so let's increase all the costs, make the available money too few to complete that in a reasonable amount of time and let's make people pay for a high speed super fast service that really isn't that super fast.

I was just a bit surprised that this flagship train has so slow average speed on this route I seriously thought that it will be in Milano in 1 hour 30 mins max (considering the various speeds of 180-220-300 km/h), not 2 hours 27 mins. In our country we do not have any HS tracks, there's hilly terrain too and the fastest regular train does 250 km in 2 hours 3 mins and all that for 476 CZK or 18 EUR in first class. 😀
