Here, i will explain why France lost for other people: France has a slightly larger army and a larger economy. But as shown in the video these would become useless, France could never outproduce italian weapons because of France's industry being less developed than Italy's. (Italy has the second best industry in Europe after Germany and produces a lot of steel, gas and even oil). Having a larger army would be useful at the start of the war, but it would become less important once the fronts stabilize. France couldn't recruit more people due to everybody being against the war as shown in the video. The alps would be almost impossible to cross for both sides, Even if Italy being more experienced on fighting in mountainous terrains would give them a slight edge over french troops. Now, the main reason Italy won was the superior italian navy and artillery. Naval invading would be crucial since both armies would be stuck in the alps, sadly for the French their navy is 21st in the world, while Italy's is 7th, with more aircraft carriers too. Italy would have dominance over all the mediterranean and would be free to naval invade, the french fleet would cause many problems but the italians would succeed. At the end this is a fight France was bound to lose due to all the points i've made here, have a nice day ✌🏻

Forgot to say that France could import all of the raw materials the italian industry produces in a way larger quantity from other countries to produce weapons but that would cost them a lot of money, it would make the war even worse for the population, and alliences aren't being counted in this case, so no other countries involved. I should also say that the french army is just slightly larger than Italy's, that's why it wouldn't make much of a difference late in the war. That's it lol.

You also forgot about the Italian morale. As an Italian I can say most of us Really want some old French land back, like Corsica (which used to be all Italian). This would not only give us a reason to fight, but also largely satisfy our territorial desires which would lead to a patriotic-nationalist Italian feeling. On the other hand French people don't really want any of our land. That will only anger the people. (there is indeed a French speaking autonomous region of Aosta but most of the residents don't wanna join France). The fact that living in France is way more expensive and difficult would only make the situation even more precarious. (As an Italian I both expected the outcome and got excited by it. No hate towards our French buddies tough 💪🗿🇮🇹🤝🇨🇵🗿💪)

That is true, French navy got clapped by the Italian one and unrest emerged almost instantly in France, They would've probably had to deal with a major rebellion if they continued even for an extra year

I think i'd love Italy vs UK , since UK could use Gibraltar and his fleet . And it would be intresting because France lost with both Italy and UK , so it can be a video to show who is top 2-3 strongest in Europe ( after Germany and Motherland Russia ) Italy or Great Britain . Also , a Germany-Russia 1v1 would be a great video causethey would fight over Crimea and Kaliningrad

This video is one of the most realistic so far. The larger economy won't help if you can't recruit more people, the money won't help if your industry and steel production is far worse than Italy's. Italy's navy played a big role in this, there is no way France is crossing the alps or reaching italian territory through the sea. France was bound to lose.

The French on the other hand aren't pro wars and their living is pretty expensive and difficult already, going to war will mean the country's economy will mainly focus on the front rather than on your confort. That would made the situation more precautions

We can't predict a war, especially between countries like France and Italy which have not been at direct war for 80 years. Even when talking about the economy and industry of the countries in question, you can't claim with certainty that this video is perfectly realistic and that things would unfold like this in the event of a Franco-Italian war. For Russia's invasion of Ukraine for example, everyone was convinced that Russia would be able to invade Ukraine in a few weeks and without much effort, but the war has now lasted for 2 years and the front is stagnating again. I would add that the quantity of ships and planes a country has is one thing, and that the use and maintenance of the equipment as well as the command and morale of the troops is another. This is the principle of a war scenario which has never existed and which will, fortunately, never exist (no offense to war fans who would be the first to run away if we gave them a weapon) . @@BabaZicos Never said it was 100% realistic, just that it's one of the most realistic he has made so far. Italy has all the advantages in this scenario, sure that doesn't guarantee an italian victory, but i don't see why so many people think Italy couldn't take France down and that it would 100% end with an italian defeat. The odds are with Italy on this one, we are talking about hypothetical scenarios, no one can predict what would happen irl. Italy and France are on the same league, so even if Italy won it would win just slightly. Italy and France are both modern countries with the best equipment there is, so i don't expect italian or french weapons to prove ineffective like the Russian ones have in the Russo-Ukranian war.

Probably not, this guy really studied the military, air forces and navy of both countries to simulate a war between. Also it's not 2002 anymore, italy is growing faster than France and has way more positive sides but not everybody knows about it and judges it only by the number of men and military rank.

The population advantage won't help you recruit more men, italy has better technologies. Italian well trained and experienced troops in the alps would say "Nuh uh" to a large French invasion. The French fleet is weaker compared to the Italian navy. The Italian desires of the French land would not only give us a reason to fight but would largely satisfy our people. The French people live in worse conditions than the Italian one. A war that would focus the country's economy in the Frontline and not in the population would make the situation even more precarious. If France almost feel in complete anarchy cuz a girl got shot by a policeman, died and the government blamed videogames the a war would cause the French revolution 2.0 my buddy
