In his keynote "What Kind of Justice is Border Justice?", Itamar Mann discusses issues from counter-externalization to counter-internalization of border controls.
The keynote was part of the workshop "Dimensions of Border Internalization: Towards a Conceptual Framework", organized by the ZiF research group "Internalizing Borders" and took place in March 2024.

Itamar Mann is professor and vice dean of research at Haifa University's Faculty of Law.
His research focuses on legal, political, and ethical questions that arise from large scale migration. His articles appeared in leading journals including the European Journal of International Law, the Texas Law Review, and more. Since 2021, he is President of the Geneva based organization, Border Forensics.
Prior to coming to Haifa Prof. Mann was a National Security Law Fellow at Georgetown Law Centre. He holds JSD and LLM degrees from Yale Law School, and an LLB degree from Tel Aviv University.
