In one of your other videos you recommended stinging nettle to be applied topically. You mentioned it was a natural antihistamine. My cat has suffered from what the vet thought was upper respiratory issues for years, my cat is 19 yrs old. As he has gotten older, he is constantly with a congested stuffy nose and he would end up with an infection. I have tried everything, treatments with cold laser, chiropractor treatments, neuro allergy treatment, energy frequency treatments, as well as taking him to the vet and putting him on antibiotics. These treatments help some but it didn't eliminate the issue. My cat is a very good patient and tolerated all the treatments very well. I decided to try stinging needle to treat My Cat stuffy nose. I simply made a tea from stinging nettle. I let it cool and I syringed a small dose three times a day for 2 days. My cat showed an immediate Improvement. His nose was not stuffy and he wasn't having to breathe out of his mouth. I've reduce the stinging nettle to once a day and it has kept him free of a stuffy congested drippy nose! I control the infection from the stuffy nose with colloidal silver. Thank you thank you!

You can also use garlic instead of antibiotics, for anything that antibiotics would be prescribed for. It doesn't kill the good bacteria in the gut....just the bad bacteria and whatever ails you....or him....or her.

@@allaboutmycats454That's not completely true. Sure, it's toxic in high amounts, extremely high amounts...but it is perfectly safe in smaller doses. I have used garlic for over 30 years with ALL of my animals with success....and no bad effects at all. I'm saying to put garlic infused oil on the skin on the back of your cat. They will lick it off. That's such a small dose.

I adopted my older cat from the shelter over 3 yrs ago. I discovered she has terrible skin and food allergies. She had been a stray for 6 months and came into the shelter totally bald. The shelter got rid of the fleas and had her spayed. I fed her Blue Buffalo wet and dry food. She is very picky and won't eat any human food. I bought a different brand of kitty treats when the store was out of Blue Buffalo and her mouth swelled up causing her to look like she had lips. She rubbed her mouth on her paws and I only had benadryl. So I gave her a little of that. The hair around her mouth fell out and has never grown back. I was told by the vet to use their expensive flea med. She broke out in a terrible rash. I called the shelter and they had used Advantage Ii on her and had no allergic reaction. I use that and she's fine. I am never going back to my previous vet again. Ty for your vid. I'm glad to know there are natural remedies for cats. I will try them one at a time to make sure she does okay. If I gave her several things at the same time and had a reaction, I wouldn't know which thing caused it. Everything is so expensive now I can't afford to see a doctor myself or take my cat to the vet. I always put her first. I don't really need any new clothes anyway.

Here's how I take my cat's allergies out. Permatly. Buy peppered turkey brest and get them used to tiny turkey treats. Why? Black pepper contains the canabanoid CBN. CBN is actually more prevalent in black pepper than canibus or Marijuana. It's a very strong anti-inflammatory. It is also a medium strength pain reliever and antacid reducer. Black pepper also contains decent amounts of iodine, magnesium, and zink. The turkey is low sodium. However, you can always just grind your own black pepper corn and sprinkle into your cat's foods. Being a biochemical engineer, I was bored during the pandemic and decided to concentrate on food that protected our immune systems. This works safely for all pets. Yes, even birds.

For ear mites on a stray "community cat" (befriended while young), I use coconut oil in the ear, and mix with iodine for lesions on the exterior ear, head, face, and neck areas... Just coconut oil elsewhere, AFTER rubbing down iodine and coconut oil mix, to remove scabbing and relieve itching, plus kill bacteria to prevent infection... At least twice daily, while I keep her inside, in an extra large dog crate during treatment... When real itchy, 3x daily (disolved in her favorite wet food) I give her a quarter 4mg tablet of an OTC allergy Chlorpheniramine Maleate (which is pretty weak, and cheap for a generic, compared to other allergy meds).

My poor little ragdoll Grace had a food allergy. It clicked when I finally noticed she was shaking her head and getting red, puffy eyes and ears in the 30 or so minutes after eating her food. She’s now on hydrolysed kibble and probiotics and even though it’s only been a week or so she’s doing so much better.
@nicooliver6019
@nicooliver6019 Жыл бұрын
Once she's all healed up you can slowly introduce single ingredient foods to see what she's allergic to. Keeping on kibble is not the best thing long run, my vet wanted to keep my cat on RX food for life but I declined and now know what he's allergic to. Not sure where you're located but the cleanest ingredient wet foods I've seen have been Koha pate, Hounds & Gatos pate and American Journey pate

Murray's a growler! I haven't had a growler since I was a kid. My guy has allergy symptoms sometimes along with flea bite allergy. Fresh Aloe vera barbadensis or miller variety can be eaten once the yellow alonin sap is drained and washed away. Some people eat the alonin too.... The Aloe gel rubbed all over my cat deterred or killed the fleas within a day along with the scratches and inflammation they created, allowing me to avoid prescription flea medication still... I use Diatomaceous earth around the house and bottom of furniture, mattress and pillow, but I use it mixed in water to apply it which is known as slurry in the horticulture field. I may even eventually try it on the cat that way if the aloe fails, but his sensitive skin and breathing still has me avoiding it. I was interested in using my Tumeric extract safely also. Also noticed cats love cannabis plants and prefer them over catnip plants. Cats love to graze grass and safe plants. Was also thinking of having nettle growing for the nutrition and medical benefits. Thanks for your help I will refer to you often.

My male cat had bladder blockage and I was lucky enough to see what was going on. I took him immediately to the vet as they can die from this. They suggested a different kibble that was to reduce this issue...it worked, but in doing so he became diabetic. I researched diet changes because I wasn't willing to give him daily shots. I have him now eating raw food as I continued to search out the best recipe. It's a lot of work, but was well worth it. It has been 6yrs now and he has lost his weight and doing fine. Just recently he has been doing the pulling of hair out of his back and paws. I got him an antiseptic shampoo and that seems to help for a short period of time. I will try all the other methods mentioned above. Thanks Dr. Jones......I've spoke to you in the past about my dog and you gave me great advice.

As well as their glucosamine for my dogs hips and joints. As well as learning their psychology and how they speak to your through body language can aid in your preventative care

My cat literally rips all of his hair off & makes himself bleed if he doesnt have a cone on. I spent so much money at the vets for us to Never be able to figure out a solution to this or even find out what the problem is, i did some digging and i think he has cat dermatitis, which never goes away. he has been living with a cone on for 2 years now i do have a body suit so he doesnt have to stay in cone but he just rips out the fur he can reach when thats on, so instead of his stomach or back he will rip the hair out of his legs and scratch all the hair off the top of his head n it bleeds a lot so i have to cut his nails. and I feel so bad cuz he looks sad. N uncomfortable and we cannot stop him from ripping his hair out. And its not anxiety or nervous things becuz hes friendly and doesnt hide from nothing or no one. Hes not a nervous cat.... We are stumped n i feel bad for him but id never give him to someone else cuz they'd just give up on him. I wish i knew someone who could fix him cuz ive tried for 2 years n still cant figure it out. Its sad to see. He is such a happy cat never scratches never bites. Sweetest thing ever but has to be in a come all the time 😢

Really pleased I found your page. My cat who is a rescue is itching although the best way for me to describe it is it’s a few patches over her body. She has no fur missing, her coat is beautiful & shiny. All up to date with all her flea and worm treatments. She has been to the vets and they are wanting to do bloods, skin scrape on her to see if she has a fungal or bacterial infection which I find hard to believe as her coat is beautiful and no fur missing, surely that would be the case . They said if it all came back clear they would put it down to allergies. My little girl was found abandoned as a kitten and dumped in oil. Could her being dumped in oil be the cause of her problems? Every time I bring this up with my vet she dismisses it and just wants me to go ahead with the skin scrape? Thank you

On your blog post about "healing with nettle" the dosage is listed at 25mg per 10lbs twice daily. This video says 1mg/10 lbs twice daily. That is a big difference. Which is correct?

Same here, my cat was undiagnosed and I switched vets, because I felt like there should be reason other than mites for his itching, I was right, turns out he has really bad allergies. Since we have had him since I was very little he is an older cat, so I am very sad to say the newer vet only prescribed him with itch managing medication which is cause of diabetes and such, but won’t do tests on him to find the root cause of his itchiness.
@fayed9540

So I took it upon myself to try to help him out by switching up his diet to try and find a cause there, his inflammation has definitely gone down, but unfortunately he is still itching and breaking his skin. It sucks because if it were mites we could just treat it and it would go away :(

A cut off sleeve may help ,cut long sleeve shirt sleeve off, poke 2 holes with scissors for front legs , stretch em out , or 4 holes depending the length you"re going for. ( At least they wont lick their fur out ) or can use a sock if smaller cat - want it snug but comfortable for them they wont like it but works in a pinch until vet help ❤❤

Dr. Jones, my cat has chronic hot spots on her chest and right thigh. Chest sores prevent an e-collar to protect thigh. I've tried coconut oil, oral CBD. I will try your other remedies but her sores are bad and chronic. Should I wrap her hip? If so how do I bandage it? I can't get her to stop and e-collar makes chest worse. Help!

Thanks for the great videos! I'm so hopeful you can give some advice. My cat is always uncomfortable, liking and scratching. We discovered through process of elimination she allergic to eggs and fish. She seems to have seasonal allergies as well. She eats hills soft food (chicken and rice melody) , and instinct raw chicken dry to keep her teeth Healthy. We give her vitamin e with the soft food along with with a probiotic. Flax oil was not a desirable flavor for her. We have cat pheromones Tons of cat trees, shelves and toys to keep her active. We use pretty litter, changed all her dishes to stainless steel or ceramic.. Vacuum and dust often, and give her time each day in her cat tent outside. Otherwise indoor only kitty. However she is still not living a comfortable life and itchy and flaky. Topical treatments I think help a tiny bit, but not taking the problem away. She will lick it all off unless we put a come on her. Recently she started having impacted anal glands. She had to have them exspressed twice in June=(. We have been to multiple vets, and no one can give us any solution. Her blood work is normal. Next step will be allergy testing, but takes months. I can't imagine at 7 years old this is the way her entire life will be. It's heart breaking we cannot help her live more comfortably. Do you have any suggestions or heard of a cat allergic to so many things? How can we give her a comfortable life without drugs? Or maybe someone reading this will have a suggestion based on their experience?

@Sandra Day My heart hurts for you and your sweet kitty cat.😭 I hope as of my reading this comment you have found some relief. I have a similar (but not quite as sensitive) IBD kitty cat who also has allergies to many, many foods and environmental allergens. 😭😭😭 Bottom line is their IMMUNE system is OFF and hyper-active in many ways. Addressing the myriad of symptoms requires ensuring that their GUT is healthy!!! BOVINE COLOSTRUM will help rebuild that one-cell deep epithelial lining in their intestines to function as designed as a BARRIER for proteins that are then misidentified as foreign bodies to be attacked starting the cascade of allergic reaction. Also bone broth is helpful for same function of repairing the gut integrity but colostrum works outside the gut ALSO. GOËTTSCHE LABS BOVINE COLOSTRUM POWDER is excellent in my opinion. I make a slightly runny paste with about 1 T powder to about 2 oz pure water and my cat LOVES it! It does NOT cause the negative effects that MILK can cause for cats. It can be quite challenging if your kitty has never been introduced to RAW feeding but it is 1000% worth the sometimes super SLOW PROCESS of encouraging them to acquire a taste for it! Cooking WILL DENATURE ALL PROTEINS sometimes causing allergies that WOULD NOT EXIST were the proteins intact when ingested. Some cats will take to raw right off the bat but others can take years or never.😭 NEVER, EVER starve your kitty thinking it will force them to eat raw. All you can do is SLOWLY OFFER it and try SEVERAL different meats along with their regular diet and hope they can make the transition. Changing to raw was THE most beneficial change I made to help my beautiful, suffering fur-baby but even so, his health challenges still have to be managed. I know how it hurts to not have the solutions that can make their lives happy and carefree and enjoyable and to have to wonder constantly if putting them to sleep would be the most loving thing you could possibly do. That's a REALLY lousy decision to have to make and I sincerely hope you get improvements that put that question FAR, FAR AWAY from you and your fur baby! God bless you for caring so lovingly for one of His creation! 💗💗💗

I make chicken heart smoothies with warm water in my magic bullet (plus bit of liver about 1/5th of hearts). The hearts are high in essential taurine, are considered muscle meat, while the liver is organ meat somuch less is used. Max is 6-7 hearts per day so it doesnt exceed their RDI for sodium. The cats get the soupy mixlightly warmed in the evening as a treat.They just lap it up and lick their plates clean

Are they referring to the live fresh plant? I’ve given to my cat for a couple of days and his itching seems to be subsiding. Thanks for your help and Murray is handsome lil chonker.

My cat licks uncontrollably when you touch anywhere from the base of her tail to the bottom of her shoulder blades. Mostly people posting about this think it's cute or funny but it really does seem like a cat is in some kind of distress when they're going through this. Is this an allergic reaction?
