One thing I would add to the water after the RO processing is fine Pink Himalayan Salt to reintroduce the trace minerals that were stripped from the RO process. I think it would also greatly enhance the taste.

1.2 hours of use per charge 60x1.2=72. Makes 6-7 gallons per charge. Treats 8oz per minute. Times 72 minutes / 128 = 4.5 gallons. (4.75 going by 250 mils) They can't even keep their lies straight. One part of the manual says it can treat 7 gallons on a charge and other part says 4.5 (4.75 or 18000mils) gallons. A more than 50% discrepancy. A commercial utility scale RO plant (far more efficient than this) consumes up to 10kwh per cu3 meter of water. That's 58 watt hours per gallon. For cleaner water they can use as little as 3kwh per cu3 of water. That would be 11.5 watt hours per gallon. Using the cleanest water, it would be lucky to get 3-4 gallons from its battery and that is only if this unit is as efficient as a utility scale RO plant, which it isn't..

Excellent review! This looks like a good water filtration system and would be great for emergency "purposes".

Since this water filtration system is for "temporary" (short-term) use, it technically cannot be used by people who want to go off-grid and completely live off the land!

Neat! Thanks for sharing, I don't need one but it's good to know this exists. I'd be interested to see how well it processes salt water.

This is not a desalinization unit. Thanks for watching

@@NETBoticIt sure is, you need special filters for desalinization. Be prepared to spend in the thousands for a portable system, not $250 - $300.

@@electronicsNmore Sure, but I looked at the specs and the pore size of the RO filter in your video is 0.001 to 0.0005 um on their website for the filtration unit. The filter itself has a label showing down to 0.0001 um. So the specs are obviously lies, as this thing clearly lacks the power to push that size membrane. Which is why I wonder, does it have any salt rejection at all.
@electronicsNmore
@electronicsNmore 8 ай бұрын
@NETBotic I have no idea why you're arguing with me over a filtration system designed for fresh water, or even brackish water. Of course you can filter out salt, but the membrane was not designed to remove all salt from sea water. I guess you don't realize that sea water has a TDS reading of 30 - 50K. The membrane will clog up fast using sea water.

How do you know when the battery is fully charged? Mine goes from flashing red to steady red but then back to flashing red. There is no explanation at all in the manual.

This is very useful . When you used tap water did the system still throw out waste water. I mean does that mean it try to filter already clean water?
@electronicsNmore
@electronicsNmore 8 ай бұрын
yes, there's always waste water.

how many times can it be uses is the issue. How long do the filters last and the osmoses has a mesh which i assume can be called a filter and once that breaks i wonder if lets in all the junk which i am hesitant on osmosis machines. Usually osmosis machines have storing tank and throws away a lot fo water which does not filter. So this was a strange machine. if you dont know its ok. overall it looks like a cool device and nice that you get perks to making videos.

Do you think that an independent lab test needs to be done just to see what it is removing from the water? I am thinking of buying this, but you are saying that the UVC pen would kill everything including viruses? I never used one before. so I am not familiar with them.

$329.99 with the 60% Off Discount Code on the page is $131.996 or basically $132 with $197.994 Off. Not bad. I wonder if it can run longer with the charger plugged in. Does the manual mention this? It really doesn't make much water per charge.

How many gallons of good water is produced per filter? Are both filters supposed to be changed at the same time? Are the filters generic (meaning are there after market filters that will work?). Definitely a short term solution
@electronicsNmore

No, one lasts longer than the other. Please refer to 5:15 in the video. I would buy an extra set of filters to keep on hand. Thanks for watching

In the video I did not see where you could plug a solar panel directly into this unit?
@electronicsNmore

All you have to do is apply a regulated output from your solar panel that matches the charger specification.

It does not, charging on this device is horrible. It can only be charged by usb-c. It does not run off external power sources. Takes 8 hrs or so to fully charge and the charge indicator binks randomly and goes to solid to nothing after 12 hrs. I have no clue when it's fully charged. I removed the internal battery on mine and use a external xt60 connector so I can use any 12v source. The internal battery is 2 LifeP04 batteries wired in series to give you a 6 volts. Manual says it can take 5v - 30v so I went with 12volts and it works fantastic.

holy hell $330 price tag with another $30 price tag on replacing the filters? jesus talk about a greedy company. those filters cost them about $5 to make and the machine costs them roughly $50 each to make. Ridiculous
