Interesting product, give it some thought with the 6 filters. I think I'd pre-filter the muddy water first to make it at least yellow and clear. Then run it through the unit to prolong the life of the cartridge filters/membranes.

Using coffee filters to get the mud out before it hits your fancy charcoal filter will make it last MUCH LONGER! I bought a 50 pound pail of pool shock and several hundred coffee filters for iffy water. They are much more expensive now, but they are bomb proof. Be sure to store the pool shock outside in the shade. It will corrode any metal near it! Shalom

That’s a good price that I still can’t afford, 3 years ago I might of bought 3 lol. To be fair, I don’t need to spend that to make that, but definitely something for people who don’t know about making water safe to drink.👍🏻

I've been looking at this for a while and now that the filters are more available, I might jump on it. I've got a Jackery and some solar panels, so this can work off grid as long as the sun continues to shine. One question though, can you take the non-potable dish-washing water and run it through the system again to turn it into drinking water?

I just got one. Plugged it into the wall and the red light came on and then intermittently blinked and went back to solid. Back and forth like this. I figured it was just charging. I checked it again in the morning after "charging" overnight and it's still doing the same thing? I figured the light would turn green perhaps on a full charge? The instructions don't say anything about it. Does this seem right?

What happens to the interior mechanism if an emp hits? Could it possibly destroy the inner mechanisms ? Then you have a useless machine that won’t pump. Even with solar back up

recommend pre-filtering any muddy water to make it yellow and clear. then run it through teh unit to get long life out of the filter/membrane.

Will it remove cesium? (Radioactive isotopes as a result of nuclear action.) Will it remove bacteriological contaminants? Probably not. Giardia? (Common water contaminant). Black Berkey and Zerowater WILL remove cesium and heavy metals. Zerowater is very I expensive. Neither will remove bacteriological contaminants. As I understand, the water would still need boiling after filtering. What is cost of filters? About how many dirty gallons will they filter before changing filters? What is cost of unit?

the reverse osmosis will remove all that if the activated carbon didn't. the new federal water rules for pfa's will usually use carbon blocks. only issue is RO does dump lots but that will still have gone thru the carbon

grid down means no power...so you require back up power for this so the clickbait should be...Perfect Grid-Down Water Solution but will not work without back up power solutions as well so you require both! sorry to be particular but its time for true descriptions...the clock is ticking...
