Allusions is more liky a combat game with randomized weapons from other games/series while Item asylum is more like a meme randomizer game with so much items and reference in it.

Allusion focus on combos rather than item asylum just focus on spamming everything possible (i am not hating on ia, it is a fun game)

@@ihadfunplaying Well yes and no, there are combos in Item Asylum but probably not as complex as in Allusions. I mean I tried allusions once, it was as hard to comprehend the weapons as trying to find your way in the backrooms.

So from what im seeing the Diffrences between each game is Item Asylum: More Simple Weapons Weapons deal way more damage/People have way lower hp than in allusions Some Weapons need damage/Souls to actually be useable Allusions: More Complex Movesets for Weapons Every weapon can be freely used in exchange for longer cooldowns and lower dps

Allusions fights are usually more complex and longer, usually takes about two minutes Item asylum fights lasts 3 seconds

Allusions is more of an actual fighting game where combos and items are best used in proper hands; it might be filled with references, but it doesnt take itself as goofy as IA does. theres alot more fighting/roguelike references in Allusions than there are in IA IA on the other hand just embraces everything goofy and silly and this shows in the gameplay. a good chunk of items are easy to coprehend right off the bat.

I can definitely see the differences between IA and allusions, it just that I think that the IA devs don’t want to make complex weapons like allusions

Allusions' description pinpoints exactly what differs it from Item Asylum. Almost everything here is an allusion to a show, game, or some sort of media. This game focuses more on the references aspect rather than the memes. If that's your cup of tea then this game is for you!

Yes but it’s only possible in customs and kit because both items are 3rd/utility items

One difference between them is: The ia devs (port, jean and xerroz) make a game that makes you laugh, is fun and simple. While allusions (klevinroto) makes a more complex game, Serious and based more on references.

bro cero/spark doing so little damage in allusions is so cursed to me lmao (been playing IA for a big while, never touched Allusions) great comparison, though! really shows the difference in playstyles for both games.

Cero used to have a bigger hitbox and longer duration when it was a rare arsenal (A white orb that appears randomly in parts of the map) but now its a normal arsenal (You can spawn with it) Master Spark doing little damage in Allusions is because it does "True Damage" (Ignores defense stat)

I just love the hit-stun on Faron blade compared to item Asylum. It feels like you doing so much more damage then you actually are

Now they have Abyssal scream in both games: In Allusions is on the Wolf Greatsword moveset and in Item Asylum is a standalone. And also there's Ranga Workshop which works the same being very similar

The major differences: Allusions is more of a full on fighting game, having effects that are generally better, more references to other games(not memes of them) or other type of media, having full on movesets for every melee, player controlled bosses and the fact that the hps are higher/Dmg is lower for longer 1v1's While AI is a more of a goofy randomizer, taking itself way seriously while not making something bad, having more memes than games references(tho by not alot), hps is lower/Dmg is higher for shorter fights, NPC controlled bosses both games are amazing in what they do though, that's for certain

Goofy glitch with farron blades in IA: If you emote right after you start spinning after the initial forward jump, you can walk while emoting. *It works with cross* *Waking cross is real* *AAAAAAA-*

Things that has been changed since 2/12/24 - Cero metroletta is a R ability to lilyinette (requires 200 damage) also a range - Tiger drop sets you to 0 for a split second yet still simple That’s about it

I have to say, IA nailed the pure, unfiltered strength of Solemn Lament in comparison to Allusion's version. I still love both games, but this comparison just made me realize that lol.

Both games are PVP randomisers, but both have a totally different objective behind it, you cannot possibly compare them both like that. Allusions is a serious game meant to be taken seriously. Item Asylum is more on the meme and funny side.

@@maximeleninja4029btw if u actually go deep into ia’s combat, its alot more “techy” than allusions, but also although IA is visually not as pleasing, the combat is alot cleaner (hitboxes, stun, ragdoll, damage)

It’s so annoying how the fights in Item Asylum are mostly just “hahaha my weapon outclasses your weapon and now you’re dead!1!1!1!1” instead of actually requiring some intelligence and the player has to press special abilites in between m1s to make a decent combo in Allusions
