Sivakumar father of Actor Suriya & Karthi is one of the most versatile actors of current Tamil cinema. In 2012, he was honored with the Jaya TV Lifetime Achievement Award at the Anna Centenary Library. The award was to honor him for his commendable contribution to the Tamil film industry for over 40 years. In recent times, he has ventured into public speaking, giving his opinion on various subjects, including Hindu theology. He has been praised for the fluency and style of his speeches.

I can relate achimma's feel & appa's tears. I lost my paa when i was 1& half. Now iam 48. Till now a girl child searching a fatherhood innerly. Heartiest speech amma. Listening with 😢 sivakumar appa i luv u so much. A girl need a father than boy child. 🙏❤

I just listened it to hear about lakshmi mam.... the emotions that was felt by lakshmi amma and manoramma aachi cannot be explained... only the wife who was not respected, can understand it to the core.... but shivakumar sir, the greatest, who allowed manorama aachi to speak all this is a great gentleman. When he spoke in touring talkies interview, he mentioned about this himself... there are achievers who seem to be god to everyone around them but most of them take their partner for granted... they spit all their anger, stress, anxiety...

குழந்தை பிறந்து 10 நாட்களுக்குள் கணவர் பிரிந்து போய்விட்டார். குடும்ப வாழ்க்கையின் ஆரம்பமே துயரத்தில்தான் ஆரம்பித்து இருக்கிறது. ஆனால் அந்தத் துயரத்தை சகித்துக் கொண்டு, வாழ்நாள் முழுதும் மற்றவர்களை சிரிக்க வைத்திருக்கிறார், மனோரமா அவர்கள். எல்லாத் துறைகளிலும் ரோல் மாடல் இருப்பது நல்லது. மனோரமா அவர்கள் வாழ்க்கைக்கு, கடும் துன்பம் வந்தாலும் எப்படி வாழ்வது என்பதற்கு ரோல் மாடல். இவர் போன்றவர்களின் வாழ்க்கை வரலாறு பாடப் புத்தகங்களில் இருக்க வேண்டும். மாணவர்கள் மிக முக்கியமாக தெரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டியது வாழ்க்கையைப் பற்றி அல்லவா?
