I was subscribed to Gothic Beauty Magazine for many years, then they stopped printing for a while. I am glad that they are back! They introduced me to Voltaire!

They stopped printing 2 issues after I re-subscribed for 2 years. They changed my subscription to digital, which I never used. So I lost out on 6 magazines I had paid for. I think they only did 2 issues digital, too. I think my last print one was #49, and they re-started printing with #52. So when I got the email that they're printing again, I asked if they would give me the subscription I had paid for. They offered 4 issues free, since prices went up so much. Not quite the 6 I had paid for, but I was happy to get anything, since it's new ownership. I did have to pay shipping only because I had moved 5 miles away in that time; if I stayed in the same location, it would have been included free. Silly, but whatever. I wish they would go back and print #50-51. They're collector's items to me.

I love Voltaire so much! I went to see him live a few times and the one time, me and my now ex husband were there. We met him before the show and asked if he was playing Anniversary bc it was our song having just recently gotten married and he told us no but surprised us anyway and gaves us a quick acapella version right there at his merch booth as a congratulations. We asked if we ever did a formal ceremony if he would perform it for us and he said he would love to since we were looking to have our wedding at the venue we were currently at which is only 90 minutes from where he lives. Unfortunately, our marriage didnt last that long to have more than a court signing so that never came to be but i think about it to this day and how kind of a man Voltaire is!

Oh, man. This really takes me back to my mall goth days. I used to buy every issue at the record shop in ye olden days of teen mall culture. I miss those years so much! I think I'll get a subscription as a birthday present to myself!

Ooo I used to subscribe to that magazine in the early 2000's. Was lucky enough to snag some back issues from a small business Goth website that unfortunately stopped selling their wears. I have issue 52 but, that box set is really good! Love that necklace! Thanks so much for sharing. I might have to get a single one with issue 53. 🕸️💀🦇

I used to purchase Gothic Beauty Magazine in Canada in book stores. I haven't seen the magazine being sold in years in the book stores in Canada. I have a few of the older issues which I've kept. I wish I was able to purchase the magazine in book stores. Talk about walking down memory lane.

How can you say you don't think you're beautiful enough to be in the magazine? Don't be daft, you absolutely are - plus, they could have a new feature just for you - Gothic Beauty Mums. You'd really rock that, especially as you're not known as "just" Mummy preceded by your little one's names. And this box looks great. If I was in the market for getting any more subscription boxes I'd go for this one in a heartbeat, but I'm a creature of habit where jewellery is concerned and hardly ever wear makeup any more due to a combo of hardly ever going anywhere but work and having a shedload of cosmetics I rarely use and a magazine subscription to Fortean Times (that doesn't mean to say I won't actually *look* into *maybe* getting the GB box).

I'm so out of touch I didn't realize any magazines like this were still going! I'm going to buy some digital issues. Of Course you are cool and beautiful enough to be in it! I had some Propaganda magazines from like 1990 (high school for me) to late 90s, I loved looking through them, there was no other way to learn there were other goths out there besides the 2 I new in school. That is such a nice sub box. Love those black candles.

There is a subscription box called “spooky box” that has some pretty cool things and jewelry. I watch Toxic Tears do an unboxing of them. I also met Voltaire back in 2007 at an anime convention. He a cool, bubbly dude.

Yooooo, are you serious?? I loved reading Gothic Beauty in highschool and college! Bought my first issue at Hot Topic when they still sold comics and magazines. I normally read Bust magazine. Quarterly feminist magazine, nice content and I can slowly read them in between Goblin Toddler chaos.
