I cannot get over how much cleaner and neater and more organized and lovely your thrift shops are compared to the US..... 🤯

I found an amazing tea set in a charity shop over a decade ago and always assumed it was complete. Then sure enough very recently I walked into one of the charity shops in town like "wait...it's supposed to come with plates?!"

I love thrift shopping! I found a 1923 singer sewing machine in EXCELLENT condition, for $130 usd in an antique shop. She is now sitting in my room, and i have used her a couple of times!

Loved the continued "I don't need more teacups..." throughout all the shops. Also, I know you were unsure of using your phone vs camera but I really liked the phone vlog, felt like I was tagging along with a friend.

That was fascinating to see what is in NZ thrift shops. In the USA, I almost never see silver plated stuff in the charity stores. I think they sell it online. If I do, it's usually under glass, and there's not much of a selection. The teacup collections are astounding where you are. Stateside, the crockery here is much more casual and not gilded and way more coffee cup oriented. I have a teacup obsession, too! Here in Wisconsin I see a ton of crockery that is of the blue and white variety whether it be Blue Willow or otherwise. A TON. That was super fun coming with you, let's do it again soon!! 🥰

I go thrift shopping for some weird yet exciting candles, to find interesting books, frames to put one of the colored pages from my anti-stress coloring books or hang my art, put fake flowers in vases, to find easy closet cosplay, find pieces of clothing for a goth look (I am learning the best way I can), and to just have fun looking around while being out of the house (it's one those "enjoy the little things" moment, if that make sense).

I don't go antique shopping very much, but I'm always fascinated by very old home decor or kitchenware, etc.

Haha love the Lamb chop doll behind you. My Memaw had a large collection of unique salt and pepper shakers. She also collected those unique bottles that perfumes used to come it.

I collect the Cape Cod Avon stuff too! My husband was so incredibly sweet and bought me a full 12 piece place setting on Etsy with water goblets. It was such an incredible find. I have since been collecting the coffee cups, vases, candlesticks etc. when I can get a good deal on them. They are just stunning.

The lovely black stem glasses were Arcoroc Octime, the plates in that range are gorgeous, never seen it in the wild though ha! All that crystal and silver 😍 I love second hand shopping, haven't been in ages 😢

I'm from Europe but live in the Middle East now, and honestly one of the things I miss the most by FAR is the complete lack of second hand shops here. It's just not a thing. Whenever I visit back home every summer I have to go to ALL the second hand shops to get my fix.

I’ve only just started enjoying thrift shopping for my baby. Not so much for myself. I found so many amazing things for her, that are one of a kind. Little ones grow out of clothes so fast so it just makes sense.

I hate that song too. I FEEL you on that. 😂 Awesome thrift store! We used to have ones like that here too but they've all vanished in the last decade. Or they've relabeled themselves as "vintage shops" and charge 10 times what they should. Also, YOU CAN NEVER HAVE TOO MANY TEACUPS! 😂😂😂😂

I also have a love for second hand shopping, I go there first and I have to do the “I don’t need more tea sets, we bought as six piece (with plates) and a ten piece (with plates) and it turns out the ten piece one is over a century old!! We use them for family gatherings now 😊 x

What in the world; your second hand shops are so, so much better. I rarely find nice doodads like that. I usually collect a lot of silk ties and scarfs etc. (legit have a box full of them) My best find was a suit jacket that fits my skinny build perfectly and it has beautiful detailing and is mint condition. It is very hard to find things like that that fit me well. Oh, and I looked it up and suit jackets from this tailor are absurdly expensive apparently. I once found a beautiful corset, bought it despite being a guy... might make for a nice gift. But I wish there was more glassware etc. that's my jam. I used to dislike second hand shops quite a bit when I was younger but they got a lot better and they... don't have that weird smell anymore. Btw my obsession with scarfs (blankets etc.) started as me wanting to find cheap and pretty materials to sew something with them... but I kept finding things that are too pretty and too nice so I kept them.

I finally found a small uranium glass vase for £1 to go in my collection (of two pieces so far) - it looks so cool lit up with a black light!

I love thrift shopping as well and a majority of it is from charity shops. Where I live we are tripping over charity shops. There is one in particular that sells very nice glass items and I have bought a lot from there. Your mantra of 'No more teacups' was funny and I actually bought a teacup and saucer from TEMU of all places, and I think it's one you would like as well. It looks like 'Gothic Carnival'. It's the only way I can describe it. No problems on your phone. Maybe get a mini hand held tripod for it.

That clown rag doll at 5:33 would have been an automatic grab for me.

Try to get watches that are wind-up, not battery-powered. They cost about the same, and you will never have to worry about replacing batteries. (It also eliminates the battery disposal problem)

I have no room in my curio cabinet for teacups, but the temptation is always strong.

I recently found a Carousel Horse Tea Cup/Saucer set at a second-hand store. It's one of my favorite things I've bought.

I broth a beautiful forniture year '20 for my new home in this kind of shop call Mercatino (it's a franchising in my city: Rome) and also amazing canthellier/light and lamp for es. Marie Antoinette, objects and frame, I usually sel my clothes there. I love this kind of shop!

This is so silly but in the 2nd (i think?) Shop theres a very short clip of some short wine glasses with a cut glass sphere in the stem -- i had those growing up! -- all the way over in america!! And we found them at a thrift store too!! It made me quite happy to see them :)
