Hi Friends, I am Anshul Tiwari, and welcome to our youtube channel ITkFunde.
More about this video -
After discussing datalake, data warehouse, data vault, and data streaming, we will now understand what is Business Intelligence (BI), What is Analytics, and How BI is different from analytics. BI and Analytics are a crucial part of the Data Management paradigm.
There is a very subtle difference between BI and Analytics and both these concepts are so closely related that we hardly come to know when we moved from doing BI to performing analytics.
Business intelligence (BI) works on past and present while analytics gives us insight into the future however analytics can only be done with BI as a base. We will in this youtube video cover the following -

Anshul, your explanations are so easy to follow and understand. I've been a technical recruiter for years focusing mostly on software development, and recently have had a few reqs for data engineers, BI specialists, data analysts, etc. and I've been trying to wrap my head around where each role's scope starts and ends. Thank you for this explanation. It's mind blowing. I have listened to videos but none has been able to demystify it this much. I am skilled at Power BI and Excel and analyse well with both. I currently work with an FMCG but wants a higher role. What BI language should I speak to land my next big break? Desperate for this. I hope to read from you Thank you

Hi Eyitayo thanks for your feedback, in BI it really depends whic area you want to choose if you are more on reporting and analytics then Tableau is leading in visualizations but for advancing to next level you should really try to learn data analysis using python you need to know every bit but some libraries like panda and numpy to start with. But with coding you could really move ahead quickly 👍 hope it helps

I was thinking otherway round.... Business Intelligence...is the intelligence of the software which gives future data by using past or current data... and Business Analysis is just about analysing with the current data... thanks for getting it cleared 👍👍

Sir data mining is used to ETL past and present data? It means through data mining we do Business intelligence? Or data mining is also used for analytics purposes. If yes, then how mining is used to do analytics. Can you explain with an example. Thanku for the video.

What you described here is descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analytics. Business Intelligence is all about performing those types of analysis on the available data to drive business decisions. Once those decisions are implemented, we then analyze the data again to evaluate the results if they worked or not and repeat the cycle.

@@diehardernxgt2161 there is a subtle difference between Data Analysts and Data Scientists. A role Data Analyst is an initial role or a starting role for an Analyst in the company but later down to couple of years he/she can be Data Scientist or Data Architect. Per managing process and project Data Analysts will give the analysis report on basis of past data and current data trends for future goals but a Data Scientist can architect and develop more data for big data platform in vast level development for company goals

business analyst is a person who are interpreting business needs from stakeholder, analyze it, and formulate it into features and functions that will be given to specific roles, and make sure the function and features developed correctly. While business intelligence is simply a PROCESS to make raw data into meaningful information that gives insight
