Made in 1999. I had just finished producing a 30 minute doc about racism against refugees in Dover when I saw the headlines in the Daily xxxx "Refugees on a Rampage". I had to get the real story out. Asylum seekers and people with legal refugee status were being consistently harrassed by white young men. Leaflets were being put through peoples doors warning them that asylum eekers would destroy their homes and community. The BNP was very visible. I fixed, produced and directed this feature news piece for ITN i order to tell the other side of the story as i was so outraged. People would spit at the kids i was working with and filming.
