GSP called him the toughest fighter he has ever faced... Had a great striking game, an underrated fight IQ ... One of the best gas tanks in his division...And if you got the strength to take him then he'll get right back up...Undisputed BMF. P.S: He did it with one eye.

It's hard enough to fight with both eyes but having to fight with one eye is a eternal handicap, I like nate and Jorge but bisping is the real BMF without a doubt

michael bisping will forever be one of my favorites. my dad had eye cancer and was terrified at the possibility of losing sight in his eye and had become extremely depressed thinking his entire life was pretty much done and he would be handicapped. i told him about michael bisping and showed him his highlight reel and then at the end said the latter part of his career he only had one eye and it had changed my dads entire outlook, he was honestly inspired by him. so although he may never see this i just want to say to bisping, you inspired my dad to continue on and quite possibly changed his entire life

Its one of those unlikely scenarios where so many fighters are good enough and deserve to taste gold but for whatever reason didn't and it looked like he would've been one of them, even after losing his eye in 2013 most people would have a bitter taste about the sport and all the bad luck that goes with it but he never gave up

yup. greatest journey for a UFC gold. my man was always losing in a title eliminator fight but he never gave up and was very resilient til he captured that gold.

Back when i used to use Twitter, i tweeted at Bisping the day before he beat Rockhold wishing him luck. He tweeted back at me saying "All aboard Buddeh". It was the happiest day of my life and I've been a Bisping-stan ever since

I almost still can't believe he did it. He became UFC MW champion. He put in the work. he put in the time. He was never "really"taken serious at LHW back until he fought Rashad Evans. He was smart enough to get himself down to 185. Ran into Legendary fighters like Wanderlei Silva and Dan Henderson, fell down the latter.....Chael Sonnen....fell down the latter. But he always remained a mid to high card guy for YEARS. He answered the call and fought Rockhold on short notice. Beautiful. I grew up watching this sport, and Michael Bisping is a fucking legend.

He has everything a good MMA fighter needs. He's got the antics and the smartass jokes, he's got the savage style and is well rounded. He can take a punch and make it ugly and if he can he also does not tap. A BMF for sure. Nice vid btw

Silva fanboys always lie about that fight. It was minimum 48-47, if not 49-46, for Bisping. Silva literally only had the dirty flying knee on a distracted, mouthguardless Bisping, and a front kick (in the 5th, if I remember?) that stumbled Bisping. Other than that, Bisping clearly, cleanly won.

Reminder that a god chunk of his losses (and one win for sure) were against dudes who juiced to the gills. He took that cheap knee from Anderson and still managed to beat him. I didn't like him back in the day, but listening to his book on audible and hearing his story made him one of my favorites.

yup. never complained like a bitch on Dana White like I deserve this, I deserve that and some kind of nonsense stuff when they aren't getting title shots. Bisping was always grinding his way to get that belt and never took an easy route for that. exact reason why I always like the man even he was kind of a dick back then but I appreciated it that he was doing it to win the mental battle and to gather fans to pay to tune in.

Very close fight with Chael and Rashad (who dominated Chael), fought the entire murderers row of the TRT era, KO'd prime Rockhold, beat one of the top 5 GOAT's in Anderson (admittedly post leg break) and gave GSP (a top 1-3 GOAT) a good fight, the last 3 with one eye.
