Hello and welcome to the lunchtime crew's My Hero Academia Chapter Review! This is my review of the recent happenings in the newest My Hero Academia Manga Chapter. And with it, we dive right back into the heat of battle as Midoriya not only transfers ALL of his quirks but actually manages to break right into Shigaraki’s core, to face off against the TRUE Shigaraki!

Ngl, I've really grown to love this abstract One for All quirk dimension thing. I love how little is explained, but it honestly fits super well with the connection between the two quirks. Also, this chapter made me realize that Nana is honestly a super amazing character. That moment she had with Kotaro is basically everything I wanted from Endeavor ngl. I wasn't even expecting her to have such an impactful moment, but here we are. All in all, I loved this chapter. And that's not even getting into how great Deku was here. What a legend.

I like how horrified Nana looks at the sight of her son abusing her grandson. Good intentions can sometimes cause horrific consequences. And i hate she found out this way. I wonder if there was some other way this couldve been stopped.

To be honest, I’m a bit iffy on how they’re treating Tenko’s father. It’s terrible that Nana had to leave him but that doesn’t justify him being abusive. The rest of the family was a tragedy, but he got what he deserved.

Honestly, this chapter broke my heart to see Nana say goodbye and admit that it was her fault. It was, but... she didn't deserve all that hate. We will never forget you Nana, We will continue to love you in our hearts even if you are no longer here. And once again, Deku is quirkless

Honestly is it really her fault? Like her reasons are completely understandable since AFO got her husband killed and was hunting her next. Like sure, getting abandoned by your mom sucks, but she left him in foster care, he grew up to become a successful and wealthy person, got married, had two kids, the whole family package. And you're telling me after all this time, this 30+ year old man hadn't come to terms with what happened to the point of becoming this bitter abusive man? Like what should Nana have done. Keep him around despite having the Demon Lord out for her life. Like what's the message here? Better to risk having a dead child than the possibility of a villain grandchild through some domino effect? And why hate heroes instead of, y’know, the freaking villains who tore your family apart in the first place? Man, fuck Kotaro. I don't feel an ounce of pity for this grown ass baby. He brought it all on himself and he got what he deserved. Only thing Nana did wrong was not better explain the situation in her letter and pevent Gran Torino and All Might from contacting him.

@@maxdejong5259 That's a hard thing to say considering we don't know when she got OFA. From what we know, she was already a hero when she received OFA since she was there when her predecessor got offed by AFO. For all we know she already had a kid before she received OFA, which unfortunately made her a target for AFO. Honestly that's more likely since AFO saw OFA being passed on to her and we know that this man doesn't waste time, so I highly doubt got she got pregnant over the time she had OFA, especially while being aware that AFO was hunting her down. And in the end, regardless of her actions, Kotaro is ultimately a 32 year old man who's responsible for his own actions. Like I understand he may feel some kind of way over being abandoned, but the way this man carried this hate to the point of being abusive to his own family was childish as best and psychotic at worst. Like Nana made the best of a real shitty situation and from what I could tell, Kotaro had a relatively good life growing up all things considered. It's not like she dumped him in some back alley or something. Kotaro was really just being one big baby for 20+ years and it got him and 3/4 of his family killed. Although depending on how much influence AFO had over the events, even if Kotaro wasn't an asshole, they were probably doomed no matter what.

@@rojaedavis8367 I definitely agree with you on how much of an immature and selfish grown ass baby Kotaro was being all this time and I also feel like if he had the chance, he’d choose to allow the entire world to burn and let everyone die as long as it meant he can keep his mother all to himself. Heck, Kotaro would’ve also wanted his mother to give up her hero career entirely, but it wouldn’t matter to him on how Nana would feel about that or what she wants because to Kotaro, everything is all about him.

@@rojaedavis8367 I completely agree with you about Kotaro. He couldn't let go of his pain and terrorized his entire family for it, even his own daughter and son. When it comes to the letter that Nana left for him, I believe he never read it until the very last moment before he died, and even if he did read it, he said "It would've been easier if you just hated me". Which solidified my viewpoint that he was a selfish human being, and a failure as a father, a husband, and as a son.

Deku must be one of the most pure person I’ve ever seen, besides Eri. He feels that he has to save everyone, and that regardless of how evil they are, he wants to save them. He tried to do it with Dabi, he’s doing it with Shigaraki, and has had an impact on so many people. It brings a tear to my eye to see how determined he is to be a hero

@@gemskietv AFO is 100+ years old to be Deku’s dad and plus his last name is Shigaraki and I wouldn’t be surprised his first name is actually Tomura that he gives his name to Tenko Shimura and Deku’s dad’s name is actually Hisashi Midoriya and we just haven’t seen him yet since Deku’s mom (Inko Midoriya) mentioned him and his quirk is fire breathe and she also tells the doctor (which it’s possibly Dr Garaki and it will be revealed sooner than I thought) that her quirk is controlling the living objects but not able to use it as super hero after learning that Deku is never going to achieve a quirk on 1st episode and Deku did try to achieve his parents quirks but wasn’t able to do it when he was quirkless as a child

Crazy to think but like I know what I’m gunna stay is stupid. But considering it’s mha- I do think it IS possible for all of this to happen in a year somewhat, considering how messed up their society is… someone could literally expose it all, a good lot have ALREADY been handed to us on a silver platter 1: U.As teaching with aizawa “no one gunna want to hire you if you ere expelled from U.A “considering how… much U.A is worth and all” 2: the number Two’s true nature “look at how everyone reacted to when dabi revealed everything, endeavour could of been exposed at the sports festival of all places, play your cards right and inflate endeavours ego in front of everyone, he says something about shoto finally using his power after refusing endeavours power “something like that” DING DING exposed! 3: Hawks the number 3 hero, if someone dug a little and asked questions at the right time and place, people are gunna be suspicious about hawks, how he’s always close with the hero commission and how no ones questioned how he got in high ranks so young at that There’s more examples but what about questioning tho? Help plant the seeds of thought and doubt: honestly seeing how everyone was so reliable on all might, if someone said all might can punch hard as his quirk or whatever right? So why does everyone act like he’s immortal? The kamino ward mostly happened because everyone was fine with muzzling a child “who didn’t want to accept the award because he didn’t feel like he earned it, understandable correct? Hero commission by its self is suspicious Like, I said there’s more to ask, on why/how would this happen? Yes, it’s true, no way the war was avoidable, but it could of DEFINITELY spilled A-LOT LESS BLOOD, Look at how the public reacted, if someone went even further then dabi did, because considering there’s no way in HELL, endeavours the only case, imagine the public reactions after ALL OF THAT

Deku gonna be responsible for the whole human population suffering if he gets crippled or dies, more amusing if he survives and see what his "hero" work got him to. He thinks he knows how dangerous and the hard decisions real heroes do but he doesn't, he want to be his perfect, kids fairytale hero who saves everyone. If he does lose imma laugh.

I think deku will try to save tenko from becoming shigaraki leading to him getting decay from all for one because all for one will touch deku instead of tenko due to deku stepling in the way of the quirk transferring

My guess is Deku sees more Tenko’s past of My Villain Academia as he will decay his dog and his family and then how AFO took him in and meets Dr Garaki and Deku will learn the truth about his doctor (Dr Tsubasa is actually Dr Garaki) who tells him he’s quirkless and will never obtain a quirk on his own who secretly give Decay to Tenko which it could be Deku’s own quirk and then he unleashed his horror against AFO’s vestige

I found this chapter incomplete, and they were really right that each chapter that started this arc was decaying, I mean contradicting itself. I know that one can feel sorry, know, but what one cannot do is understand a villain who did so much. From my point of view, it subtracts many points from everything written

I kinda don't feel bad for Nana she's gotta face up to the consequences of her actions while it's true she did give up but sadly she did abandon her son and that had a last effect on him just as Kota's parents death had on him only to have Izuku be the hero he needed Tenko and Kotaro had no one. So yeah she's right everything that has happened to her family is her fault

No it will not be swept under Deku been fighting to help Shigaraki but will make full take responsibility of his actions. After that we can go their some legal process and through the proper channels we help Shigaraki avoid the death penalty and settle for life imprisonment with PROPER therapy which is what I hope happen for Toga.
