I mean there has been some characters that have fought and won against her, but mostly through other means than just a one on one, no interference/outside forces help. Hell yeah. DC needs to start treating Wonder Woman like the actual powerhouse and member of the DC trinity she is, along with Superman and Batman. Batman and Superman cartoons/movies/shows and how many has Wonder Woman had? The DCEU may have failed in popular opinion, but when it comes to Wonder Woman these films were undeniably a necessary a huge step for her in the public consciousness. She needs more. Even in the comics she hasnt been given enough top tier stories like Batman and Superman have. So many people don't even know what she's capable of. Hope James Gunn does her justice. Diana's great.

This is the best WW is going to get. James Gunn will follow the Patty Jenkins route and drop the ball on the character. Zack was the only one to push forward with the character, while WB and others are more concerned with cheap nostalgia and popcorn levity movies.

She's a combination of Thor, Captain America, and Captain Marvel, and they did her dirty in Justice League, like Cap Marvel in Endgame. It was like 'oops, we may've made her too powerful in the origin so let's bring her down a few (dozen) notches after that'. DC has made some horrendous decisions.

Although Wonder Woman has been around since the Golden Era, it was only in the mid 90s that she started using a sword and shield regularly. Before that all she needed was the gauntlets and the lasso.

She's pretty much second only to Superman. Her strength would be on par with Shazam since he gets his strength from Hercules, also a child of Zeus, but she's a much more skilled warrior. That and she's proven to be more ruthless than many of the other JL members. She doesn't have a "no killing" code and absolutely will if necessary.

Thermyscira (aka Paradise Island) is cloaked to protect the Amazons, there's no force field. The area it's in is the Bermuda Triangle, that's why boats and planes disappear there. Wakanda is a known place but there's a barrier keeping the outside world from going in. The origin that Diana talks about with her being made of Clay was based on her original origin, a story told to her in this film but the realization that she's actually the daughter of Zeus was revealed in the New 52 era. She becomes the Goddess of War after defeating Ares. The stuff, the General absorbs that makes him stronger is an early version of what will become the Venom formula that Bane uses in the comics. Ares power is that he is telling the truth. He never manipulated man to fight, he just encouraged them. You'll see a bit more of him in ZSJL, a very important moment. Yes, this film, like many of today's female led films & shows likes to bring men down to prop females up but unlike other films and shows that do that it's all due to Diana's child like naiveness. By the end she discovers the fact that both men and women have good and bad within them. Wonder Woman, since she's a demigoddess is stronger than Superman and Supergirl.

Technically her mother didn't lie to her - she said that she carved Diana from clay and begged Zeus to give her life. It's not too far off from a symbolic telling of a baby forming in her womb after she lay with Zeus (which is technically giving a baby who hadn't' been born yet life). And we all know that's what happened - Zeus could never help himself around a pretty face. Mostly women (just one man I think - Trojan Prince called Ganymede, Zeus felt that he was too beautiful to be allowed to get old and die like other mortals so her carried him off in the form of an eagle (he's a shapeshifter like most of the Greek Gods), granted him immortality and made him his cupbearer - cue a lot of other gossipy people whispering to each other "yeah.....that's what he brought him to Olympus for). Most of Zeus's children were the result of his affairs - in fact Ares was one of 3 or 4 of Zeus's children whom he'd had with his own wife Hera instead of nearly everyone else's.

Honestly a Scarlet Witch vs Wonder Woman showdown, that headline would not fail in drawing spectators, but two female characters whom we both love and respect pitting them towards each other just to see who is better, which means one of them is going to suffer a loss, most likely painfully. I would vote not to see it, a bout of such proportion you know there's going to be collateral damage. While we would exalt the one who came out on top, we would truthfully be disappointed in the one that didn't and that disappointment, they do not deserve.
