This is an older song but it still slaps and I see a lot of concepts about yandere vs abuser. This is obviously from the pov of an abuser. Reasons? Yandere: - Devoted and in love with the person - Will go as far as to commit acts of violence for their loved one - Will stalk, orbit, and overprotect to the point of suffocation. This song: - She shows obvious disgust towards the person, but stays as a sick sort of pity and her own inferiority causes an attached state because everyone who has loved her has "lied" - She openly describes the relationship as "simple as chewing needles" - She sees the victim as pathetic and a hypersexual mess who only wants her body. - She seems to be more inclined to commit violence unto the victim, and by her words we know she yells already. Likely the singer of this song was abused, manipulated and lied to many times in the past. This warped her sense of love and made her cold, believing everyone only "loved" her for some different motive. She likely doesn't believe she can be abusive because she was abused, so she sees the victim as a liar and a weakling.

I feel like the English version is so much more harsh than the Japanese version. This is probably because the Japanese do not have cuss words that are expressed during segments of extreme emotion. For example, in the original, instead of "love me, hate me, fuck me, fuck off" it's "aishite, aishite, aishite, aishite, aishite", which is simply repeating "love me". Did you have any intentions on making this one appear to be harsher? Then again, I do not know the English equivalent to the exact Japanese version, so it may just be relating to the atmosphere. :/

its rare to find a song from the abusers point of view that paints the issues that the "bad guy" is suffering from too- please don't misinterpret that I think abuse is okay- its just way more complex then an innocent victim and terrible bad guy usually! As someone who loves Yanderes and have researched them for almost a decade now, I need to formally state that this song is *not* from the perspective of a Yandere. It's from the perspective of an abuser who finds her lover completely repulsive, but stays with them out of some twisted sort of pity and attraction. A typical Yandere is hopelessly obsessed with their loved one, and are willing to commit acts of violence or other crimes in order to have them. The only part of the song that has any similarity to a Yandere is the chorus, which is why I think some people mistaked the song for being that of a Yandere. But if you pay attention to the rest of lyrics you'll see that this character is the complete opposite of a Yandere, a Yandere is *obsessed* with their loved one they aren't secretly disgusted by them. So please stop calling this song a Yandere song, and instead appreciate it for what it is as a wonderful song from the point of view of an abusive lover.

This reminds me of a character in my book. She's the ex-fiance of my main male lead, and she was incredibly emotionally/verbally abusive towards him. This song is how I imagine she used to talk to him. Especially the line "yet I just keep making love to this ugly, ugly you." I love listening to this as I write. Really helps me set the tone. It's pretty obvious what's going on, but I feel the need to ramble about it anyway: The abuser didn't, doesn't and will never love the victim. What makes the abuser stay in this relationship anyway is that she enjoys having power over the victim. She makes the victim feel dependent on her by making the victim think that they're nothing without her. Then, when the victim naturally be emotionally dependent on her and wants to be loved back, the abuser rejects the victim and further destroys the victim's self-esteem. The victim seems to have realized their situation and is trying to change it ("Saying that you're changing, One more lie"), but the abuser gaslights the victim into thinking they are lying to themselves and that their situation will never change for the better. In this song, the abuser is trying to shut down the victim's protests once and for all by tearing down their self-esteem as much as possible by saying that their relationship is all a lie and making the victim feel guilty for "forcing" the abuser to be in the relationship.
