There are very few artists that can be labeled once in a lifetime artists but George was for sure one of them, he wrote this song at the age of 17 . George has an absolutely incredible catalog of music and if I may suggest to you, take the time to listen to the songs from his albums that were never released as singles, that is where his talent shines the brightest , those are the meat of this man's work ...dig deep into his music and you are at the age where you can really appreciate it .

This man is pitch perfect singing live. I assume you know who the legendary Stevie Wonder is? Check out their live performance together of Stevie's "Living for the City" on VH1. It is here on youtube. Some of his other standout performances that I advise you watch right away is George singing Somebody To Love at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert that was watched by 2 billion people around the world live. His performance was just incredible. Watch his videos with powerhouse women like Aretha Franklin "I knew you were waiting for me" or his collab with Whitney Houston "If I told you that" or maybe his collab with Mary J Blige on Stevie Wonder's song "As". George sued his record company after he released his first or second solo album. After that, he remained famous in Britain but his music was not heavily promoted by the record company in the US. So while he was always adored by his existing fans in America, there weren’t as many new fans here in the 90s and afterward, compared to his huge success in the 80s.

Oh, Douglas, I need to tell you, It will be five years since he passed! I would suggest you pull up on UTUBE right from the beginning of the saddest heartbreaking news for so many around the world, how so many people came to his houses in Goring on Thames, and at his Londen home in Highgate, London! It's all there! As sad as It is, the love you'll feel right through the screen, is real, & for me, It all took my breath away through the tears! However, I needed to go through this all for a reality check & start the mourning process. There are even times now that I feel I'm still grieving! But also every day celebrating his love & his life and the big part of himself he's given to me! I may sound like a crazy person & maybe I am, But I'm not alone! LOL, again, my dear!

There is a documentary on him. It’s “George Michael, Freedom”. He was doing it himself. Sadly he passed before it was completely done. So it was eventually finished and released in 2017. It was shown on cable on Showtime.
