Trzy, for three is really tricky for English speakers! As is "prze" at the beginning of words.

This is my third week of learning Polish...my main struggle is getting used to forming the sounds needed for Polish words. It's getting easier. My motivation to learn is having Polish friends/customers who sometimes struggle with English. I'd like to ask things like "How's the Family?" And to be able to have a reasonable conversation with them all in Polish. All your videos are so helpful, thank you!

Thank you so much, Ewelina! My ancestors were Polish, and this has inspired me to learn how to speak Polish, even as an American. Your videos have been a huge help alongside of my DuoLingo lessons. And yes, some of the sounds are definitely difficult for an American or English-speaking tongue! But practice helps! It helps to actually watch you say the words (vs. just hearing DuoLingo), so dziękuję!!!!!!

This is the first time I listen to polish language out of curiosity and I am amazed how much some of the numbers are pronounced like Farsi ( Persian).1=yek, 2=do, 4=chaar, 5=Panj, 6= shesh. Here in Iran We have hosted some polish people as refugees of WWII and they are the nicest people. One suggestion if I may is that you can improve your great videos by adding phonetics to help up understand the true pronunciations. sometimes it's hard to differentiate between ch and J and sh sounds. Keep up the great job.

I knew this proverb in polish before I started to learn the language: "Polak, Węgier dwa bratanki, i do szabli, i do szklanki, oba zuchy, oba żwawi, niech im Pan Bóg błogosławi." In Hungary a lot of people know the hungarian version but I wanted to know it in polish as well.

Hello, I'm relatively knew to this channel and found it because of the polish lessons. I've searched KZfaq a little bit and found some other channels that teach the language but it seems to me that the way you teach it is more intuitive. The way you break down in sections each word as to make it easier to understand, follow along and say along is awesome in total seriousness. Hello there, Firstly I must say thankyou for making these wonderful videos. My 8 year old daughter is learning Polish she has a lot of polish friends and had a wonderful Polish teacher as her class teacher last year who instilled this wonderful love of language into her. She's really eager to learn and has completed the Dulingo app, watches your videos all the time (!) talks to her Polish friends and likes going to Polish shops to speak Polish. She has learnt a lot in the few months she's been learning..but obviously still has lots to learn. I just wondered if you have any specific tips for helping her learn..I know children pick it up a lot quicker than adults thus demonstrated with me and my daughter!! She remembers a lot more than I do! Anyway Happy new year to you and thanks again for the great videos.

This is going to be great. My dad spoke fluent polish as did his dad, my mom's dad & her mother. Sadly all have passed, except my mom, who understands the language & speaks very little of it. I could kick myself for not having them teach me the language. I am 67 years old and would do anything to learn my native language & be able to pass it on to my grandchildren. I will be following your lessons as much as I can. Thank you

I love the lap between 20 and 30 and then 40 and 50. I think the hardest is 100 : sto, 200 : dwieście, 300 : trzy sta. My grand mother said : 200 is not a good number, say dwa sta ! Very nice video btw !

Going to Poland in September....my mother only spoke Polish until she was 7 years old....her family only spoke Polish...wanted to learn it so badly....she felt not necessary....how I wished I had....going to cram your videos.....did teach me how to count and alphabet....TY

My Beautiful Polish Fiancé, informed me that when speaking Polish; all letters in a word are pronounced! Complete "Twaddle". 3 on Polish, is so difficult for my English tongue. But Eweline, you have really helped me!!

Thank you so much. Your lessons good. I know Polish basic Polish and some phrases but need to learn other things like when getting to know someone. Couldn't speak English as child only Polish. Born in Australia from Polish mum. X
