For front facing I switch the legs so they look more facing outwards, you can also just switch them horizontally but it helps!

For the side facing, i have a question. What do you do if your character's back hair is one of the recommended hair styles?

how do you do it if you the character has the hair parted over one eye

I suggest using the parted eye or the side which isn’t parted for the hair on the side, it’s very hard to explain but you could also edit it on ibispaintx
