Honestly I VALUE that your ig page is ran solely by YOU. I wouldn’t stress about making ig so “professional”. We don’t care what it is you post or how often! It could be anything, it could be once a month. I just love knowing it’s a post from you. In an ig world where influencer accounts are rarely ever that person, I find it really refreshing that yours is just you sharing randomness in your life. It feels so much more personal.

Hey Jess! Just wanted to say - don't stress about Instagram! And I'm a marketing manager, so it's literally my job to stress about Instagram 😂 We love you and can track you down wherever you feel like sharing. Also, what you post doesn't have to be super thought out and fancy (if you DO want to post more). It could just be a 2 sec behind-the-scenes of what you're working on, or your dog, or that store near you called Meyer. Hahah your audience loves YOU and just wants to see you do what's best for you!

I agree with this. Keep it simple. Short content snips. That chowder recipe would make a great story. Photo of crockpot with ingredients. Photo of chowder in bowl. Link to recipe. Done. Other examples: Grocery haul. Dog walk. Make it something that you are already doing in your life so it's not inventing content. It can be as mundane as cleaning out the fridge. Show a before. Clean/show what got tossed. Show after. I'm a nosey person and like seeing other's daily life and it sometimes reminds me that I too should... (clean out the fridge, take a walk, etc)

If to means slowing down uploads and not being as present on other platforms, then thats perfectly fine. Would a once a month live chat work well or better for your channel at this time? I’m probably in the minority, but I basically never look at Instagram. Don’t do something that adds stress. Worry about it when that sweet baby is a little older and you have more time on your hands. :)

As a mom of 2 girls (3.5 and 20 months) I feel you on the bath time routine being a two parent job. Once we started bathing them in the tub together it did help. But putting them down to bed is still a divide and conquer effort. Good luck! Sending you all the good energy.

Have you considered installing a shelf above the washer/dryer spanning the length and depth of the closet? Would be great for folding, organizing, etc. Could help make it feel like more of a room!

100%! I have a super narrow laundry space too, and need to fit a lot of things in, so we've stacked ours vertically! But it was a pain finding a shallow dryer... I think there was about 2 options haha!

I would love to see more casual, fly by the seat of your pants vlogs, perhaps with a little GRWM or chit chat about some makeup or home products. I work at a small media management firm and I have two things I would say in the Instagram debacle! 1) quality is always better than quantity. 2) sitting down and deciding what they want to do and where they want to go is my favorite part-try that! It can’t hurt, and maybe you decide that isn’t the route you want to go. As a JAMbeauty fan, anything from you is appreciated and loved ❤️

It’s so hard to think you have to be “doing more” when you have a new baby, but I really wouldn’t worry about Instagram right now. I think you pop up just enough and as you get into a rhythm you’ll get back on there more and more. I think the Facebook editor is well worth it because that’s how people can find you. That’s how I came across you! You’re one person and even if you had no children, it’s hard to be everywhere at the same time lol. Also, my children have discovered crushed ice as well and love it 😂

It’s hard for a Mom when your children are young. You know they are your priority so do what is necessary to make it work. You might have to back off in some areas for a while. Your sanity is important because your household flows around you in the center and only you know how you feel inside. Remember, this time when your children are small goes quickly and you will have years and years when your children are out of the house. Just breathe! ❤️

Target updated their return policy for Target brand clothes (like Cat and Jack)! Basically, if the clothes don't last you 1 year, you can return it. Even if the reason is that they grew out of it (which I don't get...kids grow so fast!). You don't need the tags...just the receipt so I recommend using the Target Red Card for your purchases because the receipt is documented on your account. I've done it with clothes that were grown out of but still wearable. I think the main thing they're trying to prove is that the quality should be good enough to last you a year or more.

Just loved this vlog...as I do all of them! You are so natural & charming (Tyler too!)...Your vlogs are like a little time out for me to have coffee & enjoy your company... I always thought that was weird when people would say something like that, way back before I did KZfaq 🙃 And it's only like that with just a few people😊 I know you are time-stressed...( I'm 74 now but waaaay back when I had a toddler & twins!! Jessica, don't worry about Instagram right now! We understand you just had a baby and need to focus on your family 💕 I suffered from PPD after my second child, and didn't get help for it. He is almost 9 now, and when I look back at that time, it seems like a dark blur. I have very few truly happy memories and in fact mostly remember the sad diifficulties. It is a big regret of mine that I "missed out" on his babyhood. And I know you had PPD with Gigi, and maybe experienced something and maybe experienced something similar, so do what you need to do to savor this first year and stay happy.

Re-instagram: sounds like you need a virtual assistant to create content! The links round up would be a great idea as well as sharing top favorites of the past week or two. I’ve been working on going down the virtual assistant route as a business venture and this is definitely what clients look for!

it's a short swift season, but is a season, focus on the most important things right now which is the new mama role of 2. we enjoy all that you do and we are here. maybe set a reminder to once a week check and and say yep we're alive lol. just enjoy the season and let your brain settle in that.

You can always prefilm or pre plan your Instagram content and hire someone to manage the uploads based on a calendar, then you’d really just need to be available for comments and live pieces, and the content would still technically be from you - just planned in advance.

I LOVE the makeup you had on in the Wednesday segment of this... would love to know what it was 😍 Re: Instagram and other social media, I agree with many of the other commenters that you shouldn't stress about it, and do what you need to do for you. Post/share what you want to, when you want to, and enjoy your time with your newborn and family 🥰💕

Hi Jess- enjoyed your vlog. Now, for a future project for Tyler, he needs to build some wooden platforms for the dryer particularly, maybe with a drawer!!! To save your back, those dryers are a pain to get things out of because they go so far back. Don’t waste your money on the Instagram thing. Maybe you could announce the top 5 things purchased from your links in your faves/fails videos with a top 10-20 in your yearly wrap up. Enjoy your baby all you want, it is a fleeting time and you shouldn’t miss a minute!!!!

I feel like instagram is it's own beast (especially now w reels) and I think it helps most to be posting things you want to be sharing with us. Otherwise you end up in a cycle of overthinking and comparing. I personally enjoying seeing more personal / lifestyle posts on IG or maybe sharing things that really don't belong on your YT channel. However, like you said with Facebook, I think you could cut content from your YT for IG, for example, you could throw together a 60 second reel of this hello fresh recipe!

Our 1st home (that we're currently selling) has an amazing laundry room. Huge set of cabinets, top & bottom with a big counter & drawers. Wall to wall hanging rack. God I miss it. Our home now has one too but it's not as awesome. We're about to build a new home & I designed the laundry room based on our old one.

It sounds like your doing your best to enjoy your new baby & help your mental health by being easier on yourself. Don't put unnecessary stress on yourself by worrying about posting. Down the road enjoying your daughter will be most important when you look back. Just getting a KZfaq video up with a little one & a baby seems amazing to me.

Yes you need to enjoy every moment you have at this time with baby Felicity bc these are times you can't get back so don't worry yourself about Instagram social media will always be there but that sweet baby girl will never be this age again 😃 love you so much
