Great video Joel even I was surprised at the MPG you managed to achieve on your trip back. I’m off to Disneyland Paris from Yorkshire in my F PACE S (3.0d) and budgeted for around 2.5 tanks of fuel for the entire trip. Watching this makes me think that I may have over estimate and will see what MPG I can get on my trip! Keep up the great work!

Not watched the whole video yet but I know how efficient sports cars and supercars can be. My 17 year old boxster can do 44mpg on clear run on the motorway and that's a 5 speed so it's doing 2700 revs at 70.

Joel this is such good content you're the master! Quick question - do you think I would get the same results in a Huracan Evo considering it is a (sort of) sibling? I've always been curious about the cruising range of that kind (I think the tank is 80l, but is the setup of the V10 in the Lambo more fuel thirsty?) Maybe one for the next video!

I drove an Aston Martin vanquish for about 60 miles along the motorway and a short B road distance best we saw was around 13mpg! 😂 and that was going steady !

FYI, you’ll use more fuel dumping it into neutral at speed than if you left it in gear. If you’re off-throttle, it shouldn’t be consuming fuel while coasting. Going into neutral requires the car to idle, plus you’re in less control. You’ll have to do it all again to test my comment 😂

The thing to mention there though is that in gear coasting will incur engine braking, meaning you will have to get back on the power sooner, whereas in neutral the car will maintain speed for longer (even though it is using a tiny amount of fuel). I am not sure how you would calculate the difference of this, but my Golf does read higher average mpg figures when using eco mode (auto neutral when off throttle).

It was in neutral only on downhill sections to get rid of the engine braking and to therefore sustain speed for a longer period of time. I still think that’s preferable

I always found large engines to be much more efficient compared to their horsepower than the tiny 1.0 stuff. And you floor the small engines all the time 😂

@@itsjoelif you would put it in Eco mode the engine shuts down half the cylinders its caller cylinder cancelation it would give you 7-8L-100km

73 liter tank and 550km range.... It does tell you something about fuel consumption. Is the 550km calculated on the fuel consumption during this trip to Germany? If you've been driving like a maniac, that 550km probably doesn't tell the whole about the car's fuel consumption :) Nice video again man, well done!

@@itsjoel I was going to head over for the event myself but as you'd know work and other factors always impedes these things. Well done for finding Les Combe one of the better places at spa to warch and as I knew from previous experience thes never anyone there other than at the F1 and the 24 Hour of Spa Weekend.

How can you be taken seriously when you drive a high performance car wearing that footwear!!! Rule 97 of the Highway Code would suggest that's inappropriate. Also not quite sure why you ere concerned about your bank balance while in Germany but had no problems burning off the tank full you put in the next day!!

The bank balance sentiment is obviously just an idea for the premise of the video. Pretty much e everything you see online is set up? As was the shot where I was in my flip flops. Of course I wasn’t driving in those shoes, next time I’ll remember to put in a foot shot

Your videos on normal cars are much more watchable. My opinion, keep putting out content on sub 15k cars. All the new stuff or exotics you get given are just not interesting for me. Can watch that annoying brummy guy for those.
