This! So true! There are a few people from my generation (I’m an ‘85 baby so I was ~14 when his first album dropped …was 12 when the Slim Shady EP came out though) that cover Em and do so in depth. Thanks to the algorithm and just how things have been happening yeah, a lot of younger people are getting into Em for either the first time (having heard bits of his more popular pieces) and now are truly paying attention and often were born after his first 2 albums came out. The majority of, though, are people who were way young to even know about music genres in the 2000s and were in kindergarten or early primary school and slowly got into it so yeah. D

Hey man, props to you for listening to the dirty version. More than probably any other artist in the world Eminem has the best usage of profanity ever where as other artists censored versions of songs are just annoying. The censored versions of Eminem songs literally change the meaning of the song a lot of the times and the entire punch and weight of the bar just is gone.when you listen to it censored it’s like watching a movie. Part of each scene is just muted. You literally lose part of the meaning of the song when you listen to the censored version so I’m glad that you’re not. Edit: what I mean is almost every use of profanity, and Eminem’s music is meticulously put there on purpose for some kind of added effect or weight, and not just profanity for the sake of being profane

He was pointing at the explicit lyrics warning on the c.d. that's what the whole uproar was about during that time. But back then, it was the parents who hated his lyrics and didn't want their kids hearing it, and now it's the damn kids hating it! I guarantee the grandparents of this new generation were the ones who were fighting against him back then. It started with them and it led into what these soft idiots are now wanting to cancel him.

The amount of foreshadowing in Em's video is ridiculous (intentional or not). Example: There is a bunny in the video and this came out BEFORE Em played B Rabbit in 8 Mile and I believe at the time he was about to make the movie. Another example of course is Obie Trice's introduction to main stream. Eminem and Obie had a great collab with the song "Hey Lady". That song goes hard for anybody coming out of a bad break up.

Also glad people are checking out older music of all genres....but people who pause great lyrics like this where the tempo matters and you miss stuff every time you pause are terrible. It's like repeatedly stopping a girl trying to get you off. Shut up, and listen to the damn song without pausing - then even listen to a second time where you pause it and break things down. That would still be less time than 10:47, and definitely less annoying. It's like people reacting to comics and pause it right before the actual punchline....timing matters!
