An Elden Ring player tries Dark Souls for the first time! Today I continue to play through Dark Souls 1, and it's an amazing game so far. The game has been an adventure as I head into the depth, fight the Capra Demon, fight the Gaping Dragon, and progress further into the world! Thanks for watching!

It's easy with heavy armor or wolf ring (high poise meaning dogs won't stagger you)

I managed to kill the Capra demon first try the other day on my first walkthrough. I'm gonna call it luck though and maybe being a little over leveled.

I just use the dung method where you can poison the boss without entering the arena

It’s good, just make sure to keep the back seating in line if that’s what you wanna do. If you’re fine with how it is rn then by all means, I can’t force you. But i would send 20 ballistic missiles to anyone backseating in an overly annoying/spoilery way XD

Just stumbled on these. I love watching new people play through the first Dark Souls, always interesting to see how new people approach things and what order they discover different areas, since the world is a lot less linear than later entries. You seem pretty chill and have a nice earnest vibe too, just a chill dude playing through a game, not trying to ham it up but still reacting to things. Keep up the good work.

i must mention that when the gold guy kills the firekeeper, there'll be a whole quest to hunt him down, and after it's done, you'll get the soul of the firekeeper back. as soon as you get it, *IMMEDIATELY HEAD BACK TO FIRELINK SHRINE and put it back where it belongs*. I've seen so many people accidently use that soul because it looks the exact same as a normal firekeeper soul, so people use it for their Estus upgrade.

I like the chat. Some of their suggestions take away from experiencing a blind playthrough. Suggestions for paths that you might miss are fine but you can only experience DS1 for the first time once so some of the tips take away from that experience in my opinion. Great video! Love these series you have been doing.

I am excited to see how you do with the later sections of this game. I really enjoy DS1 but Lost Izalith and Tomb of the Giants are two of my least favorite areas in the series.

absolutely, such a shame it won't ever really be fixed. At least the dlc content helps the last third of the game a whole bunch, like top 5 bosses, at least 3 of those are from the dlc

at around 9 minutes you ask who that door is for, believe it or not, Fromsoft actually added an Easter egg for Charles White in the game, you'll know him from his role in Hunger Games. So yeah pretty cool.

Just a slight personal feedback, I generally enjoy a bit less edited stuff. Not ofc I'm just a random one guy and you have built your audience around this edit style so ofc if you rather keep it the way it is perfectly understandable, but you know if there are more people who think like I do, or if you've been thinking about experimenting with less edits, or whatever thought I'd put this comment (and hey worst case scenario an extra comment is just extra engagement for the vid so it ain't like it's hurting) Oh also if you could label the parts of the series in the title it would be real nice.

Valley of Dragons -> LowerBlighttown better and easier than Lowertown -> Depths-> Upper Blighttown -> LowerBlighttown. But yeah you need to use first leson you learn in tutorial. Skip big boys untill you get big. Depths unlock +10 weapon, so Depths-> +10 -> Blighttown if you want to be super ready. BigBoss in Asylum get weapon from +14->+15(max)

5:03 Is funny to see the comparison with Monster Hunter because I played MH before any souls game, so the DS1 also reminded me of MH, and even though MH is an older franchise than Dark Souls, I doubt that FromSoftware actually took elements from it.

I like the screen chat. But i do need to suggest something, you tend to leave too quickly when there possible loot. Enemies take a second to drop loot sometimes, i know its annoying to have to sit around, but a lot of enemies you find may drop useful upgrade materials. The other thing is looting corpses, sometimes, and this is dukb i know, you have to lick things up a couple times. Right before capra demon, theres the thief gear, and theif weapons. They count as seperate items and need to be looted seperately. Loving the run so far, yoy kinda made lower undead burg your biotch. That place is harder than you made it seem

@@conraddejongh3898 not for me. I had no issue mastering the parry timing in DS1 to the point I rarely miss it. I cannot say the same for the other DS games as I can’t parry for sh8t in them. Some people have trouble trying to parry in DS1 but I’m definitely not one of them
