I like how everyone agrees that Lincoln is a great character with a great story even if they like or hate the actual game.

Despite the game's numerous problems, I have to admit that I adore Clay and his story. I could play Mafia 3 indefinitely and never get tired of it.

Mafia 3 is one of those frustrating games, because it is unique in the way it tells a story, is unabashedly upfront about portraying its era-getting history mostly correct-it just didn’t know how marry this with the gameplay loop, which is bruuuutal. The performances are also INCREDIBLE. Great video man, and definitely a prize trophy for your collection!

For anyone who experiences this: while a simple checkpoint reload fixes it, you can also try to navigate Lincoln to a wardrobe closet using the mini-map and interact with it as this will immediately fix the bug without having to reload.

For anyone reading this, downgrading the patch to 1.09 is definitely the most reliable way to ensure that trophies do not glitch. This method also enables you to switch your console on and off as many times as desired opposed to having to beat the game in one sitting, and hoping it does not crash.

As somebody who got this Platimun Triophy fairly recently, mostly because I took a long break from the game due to the frustration of the random game crashes, so I fully understand the grind and time it took you to get it.

This brought back some memories. I remember going for the plat on this one, but little old me never knew about the glitched trophies. So after 2 full runs I was missing the No Loose Ends trophy. The game is at 98% on the backlog of my unfinished platinums. I just didn't have the energy to play it. But now I will give it a shot again.

Mafia 3 is probably my all-time favorite game and so I decided recently to clean up some trophies and get the platinum (I did) and I don't remember it being this broken before the definitive edition.

I platinumed Mafia 1 this month (my 103th platinum) and it refreshed my interest in playing again Mafia 3 which I have never played since 2018 because I had found it too repetitive and boring at the time. I had only played it a few hours and I didn't even know about the glitched trophies (I think). But the definitive edition looks so much better on my Ps5 than I remember it looking on my Ps4 Pro and the free dlc's is cool stuff and all! It's shame though they didn't fix these trophies, now I only have these last 6 bronzes missing...

Now I am scared about going for all three games. I recently got into trophy hunting and I platinumed Mafia 1 after seeing your video on it and I plan on going for Mafia 2 after I am done platinuming GhostWire:Tokyo. I really enjoyed this game, but decided to ignore the trophies (I am both glad and happy that the game a) had collectibles and b) didn't have any reason to go after the collectibles). The performances and story are the best thing about this.

Huge congrats! I was goin for this and my game crashed MULTIPLE times in one playthrough so I gave up for the time being. It sucks cause this is my favorite entry of the series too.

This was my first mafia, I only got it because it was apart of some deal with the PlayStation plus thing going on, and I gotta say I really liked playing this game, and the side stories were great too.

2 racket bosses left and the game crashed as soon as I entered the final district😢. Being at the mercy of the Random Game Crash Gods is what is most frustrating. Currently stuck at 53/56 trophies.

honestly mafia 3 had the potential to be the greatest of the mafia games, great graphics,documentary style of the life of lincoln clay,fantastic character with a fantastic backstory, but it was buggy, doesn't have the best pc optomization and missions got repetitive

From my memory, I am only a few achievements away from Platinum, mainly being the one where you kill enemies with their own Molotovs, killing the racket leaders (or whatever it was) and having only one "other leader" alive at the end of the game, that last one is hardest because I don't wanna kill Burke

The fact that they never did fix the trophies just shows how little they care. I should have plat but I cba doing EVERYTHING AGAIN AND IN MULTIPLE PLAYTHROUGHS BECAUSE THEY DONT POP

I loved this game I’ve played it like 4 times since it came out, and last time I got the plat and all the dlc trophies I hadn’t gotten. Only trophy I had an issue with was the only keeping one underboss alive as even though I favoured Vito the whole time one run a few years ago only Burke got angry and left but Cassandra stayed even though she only had her starting district but last time I played last year I got that and a few misc ones and got the plat and 100% loved the game a lot and it’s the only mafia game I have the plat for, want to go back and clean up the first 2 sometime though as I enjoyed those too

I did this plat. 7 playthroughs. I haven't watched your video yet, but I'm sorta hoping you experience the same glitched trophies I came across (kill all racket bosses/recruit all racket bosses being the worst of them), just so I can watch you experience the pain I went through (brutal takedowns and having a certain amount of money were also glitched, but not as annoying). My final two playthroughs I did on the same night with a case of beer. I honestly think you could do the plat in about 15 hours, bc I beat the game in about 5.5/6 hours each way through my last two playthroughs. But I haven't come across a single person who's had an easy time getting the plat. Speedrunning the platinum in 15-20 hours is 100% doable, but realistically if you're actually trying to enjoy the game and it didn't have any glitches it would probably be about the estimated 40. If anyone else is doing this, I recommend using silenced weapons whenever possible. Stealth is much faster if you know understand the AI

I played this in November 2016 and i don't remember it being such a stressful experience.

stud i will say after YEARS of wanting this platinum it broke me after 1 playthrough bc it were to require a 4th playthrough bc of the loyalty trophy not popping which really annoyed me as i when out of my way to try to earn that trophy and it didn’t pop. still broken after it.

Got 99% of the way through this game after 2 playthrough and I had to flip all bosses, took me an additional 2 tries to realise the trophy was bugged and couldn't get back to doing it and restarting absolutely everything

In Mafia III, the only two racket bosses you cannot flip are Chester Moreau and Merle Jackson no matter how many junction boxes you hook up with wiretapping devices.

At first I was not sure what you were on about these achievements/trophies being buggy, as I remember playing the game more or less when it came out on Xbox One S and having almost no trouble in unlocking any achievement because of a bug. After this video, I searched these glitched trophies online and found out what happened with the definitive edition patch (which gave everyone the DLCs for free, luckily no glitched trophies there it seems). It's really shameful of them to not even take the time to fix this while they could. Although I wonder, I've seen people explain a method to "downgrade" the game to an older patch (1.09) which made it possible to get these trophies without having to do it in one go, but it requires some sort of program to pull it off. Have you tried doing it this way, rather than potentially waste all your efforts due to a crash? Assuming it's possible on Ps5 of course. Anyways, major congrats! I don't know if I would have had the courage to leave my console on (even in rest mode) for such a long time, hoping for the game to be stable 😅

I played this game years ago when it first showed up free on ps4 and I loved it but had to stop playing as my car got stuck in the air and wouldn't come down and even if I reset the car would just end up back in the sky😂 I loved Lincoln though, I will go back to it and figure something out coz want to atleast complete the game

I had to downgrade the software update to plat it, it took me over 50 hours to get it

Can't fix the bar glitch if you are replaying the game without deleting your file, so make sure you get the samson harrier achievement your first time around.

I 100% this on Steam and my friend was asking how I did it in just over 20 hours when it really took like... 90 hours.

Got this Plat during Lockdown in 2020 after a lot of trial and error! Remember praying my PS4 wouldn't overheat or anything just so I wouldn't have to start right back at the beginning. Still to this day my rarest Platinum according to PSN, 0.3%

I was going for this platinum, until 2 of my trophies glitched out.. the one for maxing out the loyalty for all 3 characters and the one for flipping all racket bosses.. I did both of those and the trophy never popped up. And I refuse to play the game for a 3rd time so 🤣
