Today I will be breaking down the Adipurush Movie Good and bad CGI/VFX.
And will recreate the underwater scene from the movie
Adipurush is an upcoming Indian epic mythological film based on Ramayana. The film is written and directed by Om Raut and produced by T-Series and Retrophiles starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage.
The sole purpose of this video is to educate you on how Visual effects Actually works.
Overall I loved this movie trailer and looking forward to watch the full movie in cinema.

Was waiting for this video from you! Brilliant work. The problem with Adipurush's VFX begins with whoever conceptualized these scenes/wrote them. You need to meet your VFX artists halfway, write/conceptualize scenes that will be manageable for VFX artists (Hollywood's done this FOREVER up until a few years ago, and HWood VFX have suffered because directors now think ANYTHING can be done by VFX) When you're writing stuff that would be difficult even for the biggest VFX studios to pull off successfully...you're setting yourself up for failure

I was faculty at Animation Institute and I know that the big issue among Indian 3D, VFX, and gaming artists is that our base is not clear and we are entirely dependent on software. Because you can't make good colors if you don't know how light works and you can't make textures if you don't know colors. That's why foreign gaming and film industries call us technical labor, not creative artists. There was a time when our VFX artists depended on a Video CoPilot plugin, I don't know if they still depend on it.

The one of reason for the poor quality teaser is Adipurush'd pre production concepts , they spent more than enough money in starcast but I think then didn't spent enough time and money in concept arts and concept visuals and here we have the poor quality stuff in cinematography and vfx

@Iron Man for a VFX heavy movie it's less, If they have did practical shoots on locations and enhanced with VFX, that would be a better choice (water scene excluded, It was good in movie but most of green screen and fully cgi scenes aren't that good and most of them can be done practically and enhanced with vfx

@@editingmachine3748 exactly bro... It was said that the movie has around 8000 VFX shots... They did exploit the budget and resources with unnecessary use of CGI. The director's vision is a failure; probably after Tanhaji's success, on getting a pretty huge budget, he thought of an adaptation of Ramayan which visually showcases something of a magical world and here he was like "oh yeah it's so simple, let's show them what they haven't ever seen from Indian Cinema, we have a good budget, heavy part for CGI and VFX, so modern adaptation, not so real filmmaking (well I don't now that a ₹300 tshirt would provide better quality than two ₹150 tshirts, so I did everything artificial, not being aware that it's a big budget for Indian film industry, not for VFX and CGI)"

yes in movie like Aquaman they didnt do it practically but in Avatar 2 they did shoot underwater, their actors are now able to spend 6 minutes or so , underwater without breathing, but yes for that they invented new stuff.
