I absolutely love the way you gave your view of the entire set. There will never ever be another James Brown! I was a 7 year old in 1962 when I first heard live at the apollo theater and that was the very first album my dad ever brought me. I've been digging James Brown ever since! My favorite name for him was MISTER DYNAMITE MISTER OUTTA SIGHT JAMES BROWN!

James Brown was a pure fucking showman! No one could sing and dance like him back then. God broke the mold, God bless him.

James Brown's performance at this show is up there with Queen at Live Aid and the Beatles' first Ed Sullivan Show appearance when it comes to greatest, most influential live performances ever.

His whole performance on that show along with the Flames was off the hook! His performance of Outta Sight is one you should react to! It's said that the Rolling Stones were scheduled to follow him and didn't want to after he burned the stage down! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😉😁💯💯

James Brown was the MAN! Hardest working man in show business and the Godfather of Soul! I saw him live (at around age 70) and he was still doing the splits. Your Dad is a smart guy. James is doing the "mashed potato." (dance)

You are watching The Greatest Rock & Roll Concert Movie of all time. The Net Worth Value of all of the Acts surpasses One Billion. Also this was a very pivotal performance because he was playing to a largely white crowd and they loved him. The Concert Movie is called The T.A.M.I. Show which stands for Teenage Music International.

The Flames and JB were legends before their time and JB tight ship and how he pushed Byrd and the boys to next level will never be forgotten. MJ polished up some of these moves but James is always the man to me.

Two of the biggest Cash performers of all time... Micheal Jackson, & MC-Hammer imitated James Brown's moves. MC-Hammer praises James Brown, but Micheal never gave Brown Credit for being the first to bust the moves he used. But, whatever :D ps: MC-Hammer had the Jack-Hammer... AKA: the Type-Writer... His version of the One legged vibrating slide (Uses 2 legs). Jackson Jacked the spins, the moon walk, & the Tired/Drunk man's leans. They mastered it to the best of their abilities in their own ways, but James Brown was electric, & the originator. ps: All this was during that time... things changed years later, but at that time, this is how it was.

It really is a shame that young people today don't know much about R&B/Rock & Roll History. Most of them DON'T EVEN KNOW that James Brown was once a member of the VOCAL GROUP, The FAMOUS FLAMES. All they know him as today, is as a SOLO ARTIST, leading a Funk Band. Worse yet, they will swear UP and DOWN that "The FAMOUS FLAMES" was the NAME of that Funk Band...instead of the SINGING GROUP that they actually WERE. *WRONG* . Also, they will insist that you're wrong if you say different. To all music fans born after 1970, PLEASE DO RESEARCH...and *READ YOUR MUSIC HISTORY*. James Brown & The Famous Flames deserve at LEAST THAT MUCH from you. Don't assume that they were a FUNK BAND...because they were *NOT* . They were a *VOCAL GROUP*, and JAMES BROWN was ONE of the MEMBERS. Their NAMES WERE: *JAMES BROWN, BOBBY BYRD, BOBBY BENNETT, & LLOYD STALLWORTH* ...Not Maceo, Fred, Jabo, Clyde, Bootsy, Sinclair, etc. The FAMOUS FLAMES are also in *The ROCK and ROLL HALL of FAME* (Class of 2012)...right along with JAMES. THE Band is NOT. As I have noted elsewhere, the guitarist in the bottom right spot of the house band (as we see it) was Glen Campbell, applauding enthusiastically. The light shines clearly on him at a couple of points.
