There should be a prerequisite for an attack to be considered “too strong”. The clear criteria being “can you spam all the troops in one place after deploying a few spells to weaken the base”. Hybrid isn’t any stronger than zap lalo imo

Hybrid is very strong. I am th11 and i take down maxed th12 and th12.5 comfortably.It is crazy good esp with queen ability

From hybrid perspective - 1)Rc got an indirect buff ( new equipments have significantly better performance over the old combination). 2)Warden got healing tome/ Life Gem (improved) 3)Seize got a buff. 4)Hogs got new level. ( I dont remember whether miner got a new level or not.) My conclusion:- Is hybrid strong/viable in th 16? Yes Is it overpowered? No , the hogs and miner are still quite glassy ( if spell placements are a bit off , the hybrid part will still disappear) But yeah it is evident that all the components of qc hybrid strategy have been reworked/buffed.

Max hog equipment is great especially at th14. Maybe the haste vial is better in most armies but in qc hybrid I believe at least imo that the hog puppet is the way to go.

Agreed. It's not like only Root Riders are broken. The heroes with their new OP equipment make any strategy just too strong. Even in this video, Itzu's troops died and it was mostly the Royal Champion carrying the attack to a triple. A nerf to hero equipment would bring back balance to the game.

It’s taking WAY too long to upgrade these equipment items, there simply too many equipment to keep up with the very scarce amount of resources we get to upgrade them.

@GrumpyDynamo you're right. But you are limited on what armies you can use with ideal equipment. It's definitely a bit frustrating. We'll likely max eventually, but for the time being it feels extremely limiting.

I agree with you regarding the hog puppet but I still feel the shield ability of the RC is something that is strong and not just a thing that now pros will use for a sui but the bonus sats makes a good argument too

Hog puppet is super strong at th14 for hybrid. Having max level hogs towards the end of an attack against th 14 or some th13 defenses is insane.

I play Hybrid since th12, and actually i'm using classic combos on king and queen, double tome on the warden and shield+hogs on the RC. I think today hybrid is very solid and probably one of the first 3 strategies

Hello itzu, if you don't mind telling, which strategy will you be using for trophy pushing? the super bowlers, hydrid or still root riders? I switched to root riders two months ago and don't know if I should switch to different one. Anyway which of them you think is the strongest?

I have a lot of success with this strategy in legends, I don't use frozen arrow tho. I use archer puppet for distraction and health recovery. Also I don't use the unicorn on the queen (gets killed in seconds everytime). The phoenix is wayyy better. Frosty with king always brings some nice value.

Yes the life gem provides more total HP for small troops like hogs but the Healing tomb is still far superior because of the total healing output. The life gem provides each hog with 725hp however the healing tomb will recover 3,750 Hp per hog over the 25 sec duration. Essentially more than quadrupling the HP value on the hogs while under fire. Plus if you add an apprentice warden you'll still get 414 bonus HP per hog which is still pretty good but still get the healing on top of that. I think the hog puppet with shield is going to be an OP combo. The Haste gem falls off so much especially when running into skelly traps and you really needed that building taken out. The burst on the shield is just more reliable.

The 3750 HP over a long period of time does not matter if the troops are getting one shotted. Scattershots and richochet cannons tear them up if they don't have the HP buff. Healing just doesnt work fast enough to keep them alive.

@@locutusofscifi1033 That's what you would think but the hogs, with the apprentice warden, can take 3 scattershot hits before expiring. The HP difference of 311 between apprentice warden and life gem doesn't allow them to take a 4th hit anyway. Plus you are combining the healing power of the tomb + a healing spell which actually provides outstanding heal over time in a high dps area of the map. So you actually do get the full benefit of the 3,750 recovered hp especially for your troops that are getting splashed and not directly targeted. Works even better with Twin Hog attacks. Try it out, it's great!

Hi itzu, how about using the phoenix with the queen and the unicorn/frosty with the king? If the queen goes down she still has 10 seconds and can take down 1/2 more targets in a high damage area. I have been loving hybrid on th16, I'm glad its a strong strategy again

I feel like healing tome, use 1 rage 1 heal instead of 2 heal because u already have a healing tome, and using apprentice warden on the hybrid instead could be better🤔 The hogs and miner hp finally get to the point where apprentice warden can work work fine them

Yeah, I think it would be optimal with this strategy. He says he uses the haste vial because the hogs need the warden’s active ability to be useful, but I disagree. The passive ability is enough for them (which they will always have since RC is close to the warden) since they have a decent amount of health. The barbs need the ability because they’re so fragile. And by the end of the base, many of the hogs will be dead, and in need of reinforcements. Remember, the hogs thin out quickly, and almost always die before the miners. That’s where the hog puppet comes in. It offers more value in this strat.

Not really.. it helps a lot if you know how to keep your queen alive... If you have frozen make sure to have her above 50% hp...

You also have to consider that equipment like healer puppet or hog puppet will get worse with each th, because the spawned units will be more and more under leveled. So its better to use the limited ores you have on other equipment like the haste vial that wont get weaker with new th levels

Without bonus hp from life gem, miners and hogs are very vulnerable to many defenses and giant bombs. Healing tome is best when used with high hp troops.

Are u sure about the lifegem? It provides only 300hp more pn max hog rider than apprentice warden but you dont get the uncaped unlimited heal from the healing tome.. i think healing tome is way better

Dont just think. Try it. Itzu already pointed out that he tested all the equipment combinations with developer's build. So he got all the data he needed to conclude life gems is better. But you only based your conclusion on what you think.

Super minions in CC are the biggest enemies of this attack. A max th16 failed 3 starring my th15 base because his queen died early to them, and his RC refused to take them down too.

@@black_sinisteryou realize there are dozens of scenarios where the outcome differences with sm cc? obviously not because when even pro players lose their queen on them its obviously bad balanced. content creators like itzu also obviously don't show these situations because no one wants to see him one staring. being in live streams and hearing pros shows a clear picture. but in your little bubble it's easier to think so simple
