Another 3in1 video today and gotta say, each of these MV had such a different, distinct sound and character! Was not really expecting that tbh but it's great to see the versatility here. Loved the message of 'Bet on me', loved 'None of my business' music wise and loved the chorus of 'Cake'. I mean the part where they actually sing the word cake lol I know it's super repetitive and all but that's what makes it so catchy too! I loved that part so much and wished they had kept the same energy and vibe all throughout the song! The 2nd chorus or pre-chorus(?) sounded great as well however I think it'd fit another song better, like separately. That's why I said also that this song game me ITZY à la NMIXX. The song is a grower I'd say and I already have parts of it that are stuck in my head but as a whole I still think I would have prefered 'Cake' to be two songs instead of one.

Someone tried to say ITZY “lost the plot” when if anything they’ve gone back to their roots considering Dalla Dalla was an upbeat empowerment move with a fun and cute concept like this cb has been. People are gonna hate because they’ve got nothing better going on in their lives and it’s pitiful, but that’s their choice.

These songs are such EARWORMS especially 'CAKE', the melody on the chorus and the repetitive 'cake, cake,cake, cake,cake' are so addictive. I love the MIXXPOP that is going on; It's a very well-mixed recipe to bake the CAKE. I hope they continue making addictive and motivating music. They are so unique and special.

In the start I felt really bad for itzy getting hate for their music change but honestly I don't care anymore they're bop. Instead of the other group's meaningless lyric hits, i prefer some really meaningful songs, i don't care about the charts too this album is super comforting. Just do whatever y'all like to stream or leave it, instead of hating on them.

Side note on Cake: I love cake the sound works for me and the mix of it sounds perfect for ITZY because if you know the group... they goofy and fun. lol. But they can bring it hard when it comes to performance. So they just added the groups character into the song and as always ITZY is uplifting with their message.

loved everything about CAKE . it honestly felt more mixxpop than nmixx's songs at times but refined and done more smoothly if that make sense. but overall I really liked this comeback

With Itzy, I think JYP is trying to put them on a more general audience, considering the problems Twice had as they grow old in the industry and the concept didn't fit them for long. It is bold and impressive move, it's just that ppl are so "demanding and entitled" nowadays

JYP ent couldn't find their footing with Itzy... they kept experimenting with Itzy's main concept which is to break the norm/ be different... but then just do it like it's nothing new (which is counterintuitive to their overall concept IMO). Similar problem with NMIXX before they dropped the mix part (or at least tone it down a little) and had their first win. JYP seems like they couldn't find a solid concept for their GGs lately. People hated that they teased a very great fitting concept for Itzy and then divert it; like when they teased a royal concept for CHECKMATE and people were excited to see how they'll make it unique to ITZY but then went the Sneakers route. Itzy and NMixx's core concept has a lot of potential for great lore as well IDK why JYP's not going that route when all the top 4th gen GGs heavily relies on their lore and core concept.

@@hvhened I agree, but I think their concept with Kill My Doubt is a much more mature take on breaking norms or what. They're branding Itzy as a group that would relate to a wider audience now considering that they included a documentary with this cb. And with the state of GGs today, ppl will always demand and see music and releases as a competition, sadly. It's music, I hope ppl just get to enjoy that.

"BET ON ME" is so special to me because I have all these doubts and fear on me, and having a low self-esteem and being an introvert didn't help me live in a world full of "what if's" and "uncertainty". I'm just glad there are still a few songs like this that can take you home and somehow gives you strength and encourages you to step and move forward.

I loved all three! I love Ryujin’s voice sm, and yes… Lia’s coming at me this comeback. Especially in their Cake performance video! I cried when I first watched Bet on Me and now I am crying again hahaha. I enjoyed Cake altogether as they gave me the right balance- not too sweet, not too strong. Iykwim. haha. I think the “cake cake cake” part was its hook and the melodic part was its chorus. (Like the “unforgiven im a villain” being Unforgiven’s hook and the melodic part being its chorus). Anyway, I am always looking forward to your reactions. You and Form of Therapy are my favorite reactors as you are naturals and give wonderful insights. I was so happy when I saw that you have uploaded new video about ITZY just hours after they released Cake!

liked for itzy react and also because that little teary moment that I also got in Bet on Me. Just to give you a side note, even though the group can help Yuna through some hardship, she stopped, and needed to break through by herself at the end. Lots of other stuff in Bet on Me video that Midzy loved.

Bet on Me is the feeling of hope after that suffering. Those times when you have finally decided to rise up. It makes you cry because you feel proud remembering how you were able to conquer it in the past. Like this is a song when you’re in the middle of pain and hope.

I'm not even a ITZY fan but... A few years ago, when someone asked me who is 4th gen leaders, absolutely a lot of people said it's ITZY. Their Wannabe era was the best for me. But now I can't say like that. G-Idle, Aespa & IVE's last comebacks are so good. Especially AESPA's DRAMA. JYP wasting ITZY's talent.. And there are BabyMonster is coming. JYP should do something to ITZY.

I haven’t watched reactions in a hot min but this is marvelous for them. Cake reminds me of the lazy town cake song and truthfully that makes me love it so much (especially with the remixed version of the LT song) but NOMB is so good but it’s also so “farewell” song-esque. But it’s so nice and summery though.
