I love the original song, but this version sounds even better

This version is better. It’s a little fresher, vocals are clearer and has a slightly fresher sound (less conventional but still has the general digestible pop sound). The whole song feels cleaner and less noisy if that makes sense. I’m saying this as someone listened to this version first and the original after (so it doesn’t sound new or exciting and I didn’t have any preconceived notions of if anything sounded off. I was actually expecting that the original would feel right). Because it follows the beat but the melody isn’t exactly on the same pitch at the same time as the beat, it adds a nice contrast and natural breaks in the song. For k-pop groups, occasionally implementing this method would help with less forgettable/cookie cutter sounds in their songs. Great editing, props for thinking and executing it this well:)
