Everyone calm down. It sometimes has to do with who you’re learning a language from as well. If the person teaching you English has a deeper tone, then you will naturally speak deeper while learning the language. You’re trying to assimilate with the person you’re learning from. It’s subconscious.

For those criticizing the camera work, please keep in mind that this is a news broadcasting station, not a music show. They aren't really designed to handle events like this the way we're used to seeing with MNet. Many Korean shows also rely on robots rather than real cameramen for majority of the shots. All the shots here were manually taken by real camera men/women who are not trained for this type of broadcast. They did the best the could. Please be nice.

It looks like it was just a local station (NYC only), so they wouldn't have the same sort of fancy setup of a national broadcast (like BTS on Ellen or Blackpink on GMA). It's a newsroom, not a stage.

This was so cute! This was the first time I could actually see a little nervousness. I'm glad the hosts made a point to talk to them all so it wouldn't only be the member with the strongest English, Lia, speaking. I really wish they got to sing live though. Good Day New York is News program not music program. Maybe they don't have the full audio equipment. This just a short interview. They did not prepare enough mic for guests. ITZY answered questions with the interviewer's mic. Before them, GOT7, NCT127, Stray Kids... just dancing performs on Good Day New York, too.

People don't appreciate enough just how vital English fluent members like Lia, Jackson, Mark, Bambam, Taecyeon, Nichkhun, Hyelim, Jae, Young K, Seungmin, Bang Chan and Felix are for their groups in American tv shows. They act as the bridge over the language barrier between their group and the tv hosts and ensure a smooth interaction throughout the interview. That is a HUGE responsibility to carry especially when it involves promoting your group globally.

Americans don't get it. The innocence, youthfulness and playfulness is what is liked in Asian cultures. And plus, it is just who they are. Americans don't have a culture like this. American women are masculized and into sports. But with the younger generation and korean influence they will help bring back innocence and femininity to america and many americans will not even know it is from korean influence. America don't have that femininity. K-pop is helping to bring some femininity to the US and also helping girls be girls. Even the adults in america is foreign to see this. Yet, they have this inside of them but all gets lost due to american culture. They suppress femininity by learning that they have to be strong and attitude became a trend and instilled into american culture. American beauty standards are sexual. Asian beauty standards are so so different. They look at the "whole". Not just looks but innocence, kindness, smarts as well as looks. It is much different than the US. But now it is changing due to influence of other countries such as korea. The younger generation will have a much more different definition of beauty. Americans are very intense, magnifying, staring so hard into every word and move.. they should really loosen up. So living life so seriously. But this show the ladies were nice.

I think both have weaknesses.. In south korea, they're pretty banged up by criticisms by knetizens.. Especially to girl groups/girl soloists. In america they can be more open about other concepts than just what is normally accepted in korea.. Which is either the the pro and con in korea. Yes they've loosen up and has a good aura and isn't overwhelming. But they're still left behind in terms of openness other than just what they're used to.

Ummmm I wouldn’t say all Americans are like that because playfulness and youthfulness is very big here as well, not just stiff and boring. Older people and news with older members yes aren’t as upbeat and everything but the youth in America is definitely in it with that upbeat playful and colorful culture so.

Do you mean during their performance? Although I love itzy and I love my kpop groups, I came to realize long ago that they always (!!!) Lipsync (during music shows), maybe not so much during concerts). This here makes it even more obvious. Back in Korea they record an extra convincing backtrack tape to make it look like they sing live. And I don't mean it negatively. Lately I see lots of American artists copy this method. Just look closely everytime you watch a performance. With this amount of dancing, it's impossible to sound like they "sound". Sry for the length 😅

what i love about these 2 ladies is that when they interview kpop groups, they dont ask stupid questions like "oh, do you guys date fans" or anything like that they even took there time to find out what was the meaning behinds ITZYs mvs. one of them even spoke about there past health when they interviewed SEVENTEEN, the boys looked comfortable talking to them. they politely asked JISOO (joshua) if she could him josh. this show isn’t a music program, so i couldt really expect too much from the hosts and the set up and the scripts but nonetheless!! I love seeing Itzy perform!! And they handled themselves so well with the scripted questions - i know it’s NOT the hosts fault so i won’t pretend like it is... I hope there are more comfortable appearances for them in the future and I wish Itzy the best!!

ITZY is absolutely amazing! The precession is flawless, and these ladies can really sing while they dance. That is not an easy thing to do. I’ve watched more videos of their live performances and practices and can truly say they are working their hearts out. This group is hungry and aren’t afraid of the hard work. One of my favs!!

I thought the hosts were really nice, and they even did their research. The performance would have been better with mics and an audience, but oh well. Also, why did I just stumble upon this performance by accident?! Like I've watched plenty of Itzy performances ever since they released WANNABE, but this one never ended up on my recommended. ._. Good to see ITZY performing in the US, let's hope they do more shows in the future. They DO have an international following for it.
