So basically what the video is about is that IU is mute or deaf and V is blind in one eye and the cube is basically getting rid of people that aren’t “normal” and when they look into the camcorder, they see the “normal” that they wanted which is really sad

everything is so nostalgic. from iu’s voice to the acting, first showing their love to their tragic ending & how even in the darkest circumstances if you’re with the people you love the bad things disappear. like idk it made me cry fr fr & usually it’s hard for me to cry with mvs bc i don’t get so invested with just 3-4 mins but this (not being biased istg) really did it for me.

Taehyung your acting is incredible. The way you embraced the character created this strong emotion that could be felt through the screen. IU your acting was amazing & singing was beautiful & the lyrics have a really deep meaning along with the MV. I'm so proud!

Taehyung was incredible with his acting, the emotions he portrayed with his expressions and his body language had me in complete awe. He and IU nailed this. It felt like the mv was seconds long and not over 5 min. IU voice on another level. Thanks for reaction. 💜

Kinda reminds me of a very old Steven King book/movie called the Langoliers....I think it was about a small group of people realizing they were the last people on the planet and they were being chased by these flying cubes.... I could be wrong but I think she's mute not deaf.. At the beginning when they first get in the mall and the cube flies by, they both hear it and look up at the same time. Then in the scene where she's onstage singing I think its because in the "perfect world" he has two seeing eyes, and she can sing/use her voice... TAKE THIS WITH A GRAIN OF SALT, I COULD BE WRONG

Not you guys saying every wrong theory. Haha V is bling in that eye. Not a zombie. IU is deaf. That clothes pile is indeed clothes, not bodies. They aren't seeing the past through the camera, they are seeing an ideal world where they are "perfect" and have no abnormalities because the cube is getting rid of those that are abnormal according to society. They get so lost in the fantasy of them being in a perfect world in their imagination that they forget the cube was chasing them. IU covers V's good eye at the end so that he doesn't have to see their horrible fate but she stares at it head on. I love this video so incredibly much!!

IU is unemployed and V has lost one of his eyes. The camera is looking at V and caressing his blind eye.. I think the message of this MV is that you should accept all people with their differences and set them free so that they too can enjoy the joy of life.. IU's voice is unique and It caresses the heart. ..but the MV is not related to IU but related to BTS..remembering the piled up clothes, IU's lip pressing, the fake love music cube that opens in front of JK's eyes, their sitting behind the table is like JK's music video...V's hitting To. The cube is like "I need you girl".. When two people fall in love with each other despite their gender differences, let us accept them and not see their pain.

Oki so basically.. The situation they're in is an alien invasion which is why their clothes are all messed up, IU is deaf/mute and Taehyung is blind in 1 eye...the camera let's you see the happy and good times before the invasion.. The cubes are the aliens.. But when the cube finds them again they knew they couldn't escape from the harsh reality so that's why they tried to break it? But in the end.. They were victims and I guess the title makes sence because they never parted... Even after the abduction they were still together.. Also the clothes belong to all the people who were abducted... This is the best I can explain, I hoped it helped 😭

I'm just copy pasting an explaination I saw under another video: The Cube represents society, it is chasing every individual who doesn't fit the standards of society. Here V is half blind, IU is deaf and mute. So they are running from oppression of society. The world is controled by these standards of perfection to the point that people in the world put masks on when they don't have make-up or when they feel inssecure or they wear hats when their hair is messy. The MV is a dystopian view of our society. While they are trying to hide in this abondonned place filled with the clothes of people who died because of this oppression, they find a camera that allows them to have an illusion of what their lives could be if they were "normal" by society's standards, it starts with their looks, they could see how they would have looked like, then what they would eat, then they start to feel the illusion a bit too much to the point they beautifully imagine that IU could sing and V could sing as well and she could listen to his voice, they could marry each other and just have fun and eat whatever they want because they wouldn't have to care about society or any other kind of oppression. However, as soon as they feel a little bit of confort and try to live their life, the Cube (society) finds them again and push them to retreat and flee again, but the Cube managed to find them again, they try to survive against it and try to fight it as hard as they can, but they cannot beat a stronger system, they just give up but at least they stayed together until the end. Even if they died at the end, they loved each other deeply, it shows that even if society is oppressive, people can love each other and they can find their soulmate even if they are not "normal or perfect" to the eyes of some many others. The pile of clothes is like from Spring Day, these people died because of injustice, but they deserved love, so the pile of clothes can look very gloomy and sad, but as in Spring Day MV if you don't forget them you can seem them happy and free where they are right now...

Are you sure thats tea you're both drinking😅. The camcirder acts like a filter it takes away the sadness of the world as it to those oppressed and makes it how it could be. The cube represents society thats oprressing those who are in the minority or under represented. My gosh the "worse" reaction ever. Too much noise.
