He was already...on palette before military. It isn't a set. it is an abandonned hotel resort. Korea has an area that has a lot of abandoned resorts left as is, but they want to refurbish them and open them up again. There is a lot of filming done at these places.

Tae and IU have amazing natural chemistry on screen and off. I so hope they do many more projects together be it music and/or acting. Tae really showed his leading man/drama/action acting chops in this MV and I can't wait to see what acting offers/projects he gets when he comes home.

Concrete Utopia is a recent Korean blockbuster movie directed by Uhm Taehwa (the director of this music video). The movie got so many prestigious awards and even nominated for Best International Feature Film category on the upcoming Academy Awards (Oscars) The cast are Lee Byunghun (his known project: I See the Devil, Mr. Sunshine, Squid Game, Emergency Declaration etc), Park Seojoon aka BTS's V bestfriend (Parasite, Itaewon Class, The Marvels, Gyeongseong Creatures, etc), and Park Boyoung (A Werewolf Boy, On Your Wedding Day, Strong Girl Bongsoon, Daily Dose of Sunshine etc)

During v’s interview on IU program immediately V connected with that pianist without V knowing that he is a song composer and V’s reaction asking IU that he needs to work with him and IU said are you trying to steal -it’s similar along those lines. I've been told the movie Concrete Utopia is on Viki (depends on your country though). I've seen it and it was interesting, V's friend Park Seo-Joon stars in it. It's more a moral tale than a disaster movie but it's worth the watch. Hope you'll enjoy it.

Concrete Utopia is a movie that was directed by Um Tae-hwa who directed this MV and is currently winning a few awards for it. I saw it was for rent on VIKI and if I remember correctly V walked the stage for the movie premiere press photo ops awhile ago. Superb job but who can fail with IU and V.

edited to add: regarding the pile, it might be general symbolism that clothes represent a person. If you were stranded on a on island and saw a shirt, you know a person was there or had been there. Many people have left comments about it being a reference to BTS' metaphor in Spring Day, though: I read an article about the recovery of the victims of the Sewol ferry disaster. At one point there was a pile of what came from the ships cabins. It was a large pile containing clothes, bedding, and the bodies of the travelers. The writer said it just looked like a large pile of clothes until your eyes adjusted to it and could see that there were people's bodies there, too. I don't recall the source where I read that, but the BTS video of Spring Break has that image in it where they have a large pile of clothes and they are in it. As for the location of the indoor shoot, a youtuber channel name Seoulite, said there are abandoned resorts along the beach and this looks like one of them.
