I had no idea of them when i heard their song played on myx then i said to myself “ganda naman nito, ganda ng lyrics and everything. Ang ganda vibes nila feel na feel mo iyong mga 80’s and 90’s songs. Ano kayang hollywood band ito?” Tapos nalaman ko Filipino pala kase iyong pangalan nila IV of spades palagi ko nakikita sa recommendations sa YT. Gosh super bigtime ang music nila. Gonna buy and support their albums if ever and i hope meron. International sound ang dating nila.

When i heard the song once i thought it was very old, i thought it's age was as equal of the era of the groovy music Di ako makapaniwala na bago palang to and moreover filipino (daw) kayo! Para kayong mix ng beegees, dnce, at beatles! Kailangan pa natin ng mga song na ganito hindi kagaya ng iba diyan na gumamit ng sobra-sobrang auto-tune at background music ng isang western song

GunbladeXBustersword I'm not sure. Ang alam ko kasi is pinaka-una nilang nirelease yung Ilaw sa Daan. Then nung nirelease nila yung Hey Barbara! Dun sila nag-boom, which made them decide to rebrand the band from the ground up (including thr aesthetic, genre, etc.) And made them choose the 70s style path. So yeah, I think hindi sya kasama sa bagong style nila kasi medyo alt-rock yun eh

oo tol waiting lang tol hoping na magkaroon soon. I think nirelease lang din yung Hey Barbara para mapabilis ang market kasi nga english song. Pumasok agad sa top ng spotify dati at now naririnig na sa mga radio station. Well parang dalawa pa nga version ng Mundo yung isa iba chorus pero pinalitan na nila. Sure magkakaroon yan! haha

I watched this video comparing the song and the English subtitles. It honestly made me appreciate how poetic and beautiful Tagalog is. The translation just doesn’t have the same emotions. We should be proud of our language💖💖💖

It takes incredibly talented and skilled musicians to break into the Philippines’ local music scene especially with this type of music genre. Usually kasi ang music na pumapatok sa masa pop songs, ‘hugot’ songs or songs like Vice Ganda’s or Ryzza’s. Of course, music is subjective. Nasa preference mo ‘yon but it’s refreshing to see young artists who takes risks, is experimental with their music, and makes it because it’s their passion (and not a money-making scheme). This is not the type of music I’d find myself listening to but IV of Spades is an exemption.

Mahilig ako sa hard rock at heavy metal pero nakakaadik tong tugtugan ng IV of Spades. Ngayon lang ako naging enthusiastic sa isang opm band. Sana magstick sila dito sa 70's funk rock sound nila, or pwede rin nila itry ang acid jazz since mahilig sila sa funky and groovy beats.

I'm glad this type of genre is making a comeback. I'm a '96 millenial with a flair for 80's music zeitgeist and usually nagttb nalang ako except for this band. This track is funky, old school and sooo cool. You guys rock!
