This was really good.. love my boy Ivar the boneless sooo much. Hes so gorgeous and misunderstood. Hes never been evil just Viking, ruthless and anger issues with constant pain (Brittle bone disease) hes the best son of Ragnar, I see so much of Ragnar in him & Ubbe the most.

Ivar is by far my favorite character within the entire series. Ragnar has to many flaws and wasn’t very complex..... he made many mistakes. Ivar I feel like should have been a character earlier within the series. It’s like Ivar is everything ragnar wanted to be. I have a very bad feeling hvserk will still kill Ivar since he believes this is his fate. I never was a fan of bjorn after the way he started treating torvi. However each character except sigurd has a special place in my heart and I cannot wait for Ivars new power especially with his new trails and outlooks in life. Spoiker*** I re watched the entire series and here is what I’ve found. Harbard was a son of Odin and he gave Ivar a coin when he left for good. Harbard said he had a son in Russia and i believe Ivar and Oleg (the newest tyrant in thee series) are connected by odins son. Also I believe hverk May triumph in the end and kill Ivar, since it’s his destiny to kill Ivar I guess. I dk but I’m super excited. For the rest of the series! So upset it’s ending!! Watching Alexander play Ivar is remarkable and so entertaining I could watch him in this character for the rest of my life

It was also because of auslag death, Ivar became the love of many as well. His thirst for vengeance was so enjoyable to watch. Especially his battle with Bjorn and he didn’t die from the arrow.

Well he's dying. He's in the first episode of next season. He's only in one episode. That is not Bjorn in the promo when Hvitserk says "You can't kill him Ivar." They want you to think that and it would be too obvious.

Also I like the shocking death. That's what made Game of Thrones nuts in the first 5 seasons. Gotta take some risk and not have the obvious good guy win all the time. Also this show is not following history at all. All the brothers live in real life so forget about the history and just enjoy it as a show. Ivar lived the longest. Some say he lived till he was 74. The saga's are awesome. Great stuff to read.

Floki told him he was the son of Ragnar lothbrok because Ivar was saying sumut about how he sees Floki as a dad or something too and was begging him not to leave him. "Your father is Ragnar Lothbrok the most famous viking, dont u ever forget that Ivar or the gods will punish you for it"

Nah I never liked Ivar and never will.If only he didn’t betray and try to kill his brothers he could have been a much more likable character. Bjorn is the true era of Ragnar! And Bjorn isn’t dead!

Think a little. Ragnar wanted not only to acquire new land, settle, farm and provide food to everyone. He wanted to open Scandinavia to rest of the world, its religions and cultures. He wanted to make new contacts and alliances. Later he understood, that the only way of achieving this was by destroying nordic culture of constant warfare and especially nordic gods. Only then his people would slowly stop to follow their old ways of fighting and taking revenge (which lead to spilling blood and nothing else). That's why he ceased to believe in old gods, that's why Ivar said to Bjorn that Ragnar's heritage was save with him, as he was the one to lead Rus straight into Norway capitol, help them try to conquer Scandinavia and weaken nordic culture. Floki tried to achieve this peacefully on the Iceland and has failed, of course. Scandinavian countries progressed only after christianisation.

@Chris I Some people do, I do. He wasn’t really given a chance, granted, his bullying and nastiness towards Ivar shouldn’t been scripted because it was unfair, but it would great if Sigurd was still knocking about.
