I came to Bengaluru in 2011 , and In my 13yrs of being a resident of Bengaluru I never faced any issue with kannadigas , they are very sweet people with lot of tolerance. In fact a Tamil family gave death threats to my husband (just bcoz of misunderstanding due to language) they didn’t even try to sit and resolve the issue. But I faced many situations in which I felt protected by kannadigas showing support and safety Like ola , Uber drivers are genuinely worried about me while travelling at midnight …,they gave their number to me to call in emergency anytime . I fell in love with Karnataka so much that I don’t even feel to go back to my native place

Well said guru,I have observed this problem with some people from the north on many occasions. They have a kind of superiority complex. They think they are more intelligent compared to locals from southern states.They expect that they be treated like kings wherever they go. They don't want to learn about the local culture, language of the places they go. They expect everyone else to talk to them in Hindi and treat them like some VIP. If they don't get what they expect, they get frustrated and label it as racism. I'm a north Indian and been living in Bangalore for 2decades now with my family. And i identify myself as a bangalorean only as I've pursued my education here and Karnataka land has offered us many things. It's only just few north families in my area and majority been kannadigas but till date i didn't face any such racist situation nor my family did. that's the beauty of kannadigas wherever we been in Karnataka everyone has open heartedly welcomed us. But yes this one i would admit that few people being north or south Indians do pass such racist comments but that doesn't mean that whole community is like that and that should be prevented to maintain the harmony between the two.
