What about recording stuff that shouldn't be revealed but only releasing it in a vid after the game is concluded? That way we'll still see the process of creating the minigame, but won't get spoiled of it. (I often think that when people do pranks and maybe like don't show it or something so that the audience doesn't tell the target of the prank, why not just record it, but don't publish until the thing of note has happened)

You can always have folks be roommates too if you’re running out of houses/apartments.

Remember, a good mystery is designed to have lots of decoys, one of which will be real. There should be a very dark alley, too, just to throw everyone off.

It would be cool if the pub was big enough to get all the participants in it at once, its a good place to bring people together for accusations and deliberations.

Iskall really has been my main POV this season. So much content dude!

One pretty British thing you could do for the pub is bring back the 3 windows on the top, but use brick wall to block it up. It's a thing you can see on some buildings from the late 1600's onwards as a way to not pay a higher window tax. Would be some neat character for the building and some extra intrigue for it

I know the corner house/pub is no good for this, but it seems like end stone brick is often overlooked in build pallets. In most cases it's just too bright, but for this street (and "chaospunk" in general) it seems like a good material.

When you and stress started theorising about this murder mystery game, I thought it would just be a cool concept which never gets made like most things on hermitcraft lol. I'm so glad that this is actually happening and how its coming along, and it sound so cool. Kinda sad that mumbo, grian, gem and impulse all aren't participating, I would've loved seeing them be a part of this. Either way I know it's going to be AMAZING, I'm looking forward to it so much.

Pubs here in England generally have some muted shades on the sign (generally one painted on the pub, and one hanging off) (red/green banners + terracotta) as well as wood in the construction. I wouldn’t see it as a pub until the signs are in place. Maybe a block of deepslate redstone ore next to where the sign is could be fading paint?

A couple of mangrove signs above the door for the pub name and a hanging sign coming off the building. Barrells inside and a couple outside

This is going to be a blast, I'm sure. I love murder mysteries, and the "Town of Salem"-type game from last season was so fun to watch.

I feel like the problem with this building was that it looked to be built on a different scale than the buildings around it. It had the third story windows at the same height as the second story windows were on the building next to it, and them being thin only furthered this issue.

I think you need some sort of signage overhanging into the street to represent it being a pub

for one of the houses i think you should maybe make one really small cottage that an old lady would live in with lots of plants and greenery and stuff !!

I love when murder mystery stuff has such obvious and silly names like "the murder street". It's just so comedic imagining all these people living on "the murder street" and being shocked that there's been a murder committed.

I like the build, but (I’m sorry) it isn’t a traditional English pub. English pubs are usually wooden, wide, generally the shortest building around. The second floor hangs out over the first one, the outside is clean and never dark, to attract customers, and there are one or two signs in fairly muted colours (generally one painted on, one hanging off the side). The roofs are generally thatch or slate. I can absolutely see it as a cool designer house, or a tech café, or a new restaurant on the block, but it really doesn’t scream “pub”. All that said, it is a very good build.

If the ladders end up being parkour-able, surely that’s for the best? Interesting places to jump means more interaction with the build

I love your content, and this murder mystery game sounds like it is going to be excellent. There is one thing that separates your buildings from Stress's buildings though: yours have too much symmetry. If you look at Stress's side of the street, she doesn't texture/shade her buildings symmetrically. It is especially evident in the roof designs. I think if you broke up the symmetry a little bit, the whole street would come alive. This is just the opinion of someone that would take 10x as long and end up with something half as good. Loving your builds this season!

This is all very exciting. Enjoy your mini vacation! You've more than earned it. I know you said you and stress may have less content due to running it but I definitely would love to see an in depth discussion after it's all over, even multiple videos long, where you two talk about the writing process and how the game went etc. Would be very cool to see as I know this isn't simple or easy to set up.

You should put an alley in between this building and the next to give it a more sinister vibe, maybe with a rundown house at the end.

The pub should have an awning over the door. That would solve the planter box design concern you were having.

The murder mystery is such a fun idea of doing something with the others! All of those who will be participating should play Among Us together so that Iskall and Stress can take notes on how the players are with lying and deceiving, or at least so everyone can get into the proper improv mood 😅

Iskall- for the next house on the Murder Mystery (MM) docket, you could try to make a house with a little front yard/courtyard. Also a house for you/stress to give out packets of info from/distribute items. The Bougie house with the courtyard 🤣 I love the pink/blue house! Side note but I just thought of it when you were talking about the fabulous color on that house: When I was growing up, there was a two story style Victorian house that was huge and imposing but stood on the corner lot in a busy city, so it was even more imposing. It was painted in various shades of hand painted camouflage and blue-very distinct, but even more so because it was run-down. In short, it was an eye-sore. This was back in the 90’s. I asked my mom why that house was painted so oddly and she told me the man had PTSD from Vietnam; I didn’t know what that meant at the time but it sounded like he would never recover from it. I drive by it from time to time and it is still the same house, but it has a different owner now. It’s fixed up and painted white.

I kinda love having one black spooky house. Every neighborhood needs one. I feel like Iskall could have fully leaned into the haunted house vibes and used the red mangrove wood for the details. The jungle wood also looks nice tho.

Ren's theatre kid chops need stretching. I can imagine the kind of character he'll want, but I suggest casting him as "Misty Mellons, showgirl with a heart of gold." That, or a saucy barmaid.

i think the trick with fitting the Pub into that corner when you come walking up the street is to pull from BDubs design....the building at the end of the street just needs to be something that contrasts with the colors of the pub, so the pub stands out more on that corner as you walk up to it? also... a goood olde English/Irish Pub needs vines...

Iskall, your also a great builder. you can come up with a design no ones think will work and making it an outstanding build. like what you said: weird in a good way! and we love your vibes not rushing to make mega builds but making many memorable moments for the hermits and your community.

Iskall i liked the bushes when they were just the trap door underneath, with no sign. You should put some of those in place of a few of the stairs.

I think something about this Murder Street you and Stress built is so lovely. I love architecture like this IRL, and I feel so bad that I can't walk down a street like this. Once the game is done, please keep the builds! Perhaps you can even charge other hermits for renting them as vacation homes 😂

For the buildings near the river and the opening you mentioned, I think it would be cool to have an elevated walkway that goes around to the backside of one of the houses. Not quite a dock but something similar.

I wouldn’t have thought to change the windows or switch to jungle when you did. It’s really enjoyable watching you work on your skills as a builder in these videos. I feel like that’s such a unique perspective on Hermitcraft and it feels really approachable and informative. I would have given up on the build a lot earlier and not known what was off about it. Now seeing you work through it was really inspiring and gave me some ideas.
