Sometime I saw Pogorelich too dried. What I heard there surpassed all I thought of him. He provoked the vivid curiosity to each note , which I didn't feel in attitude to my favorite interpreters. Astonished. Then want acquaint with whole his heritage

This tempo is growing on me. At first, I found it a little dreadful to sit through, but the more I listen, the more I come to like it. Bravo!

shkedovb the magic of Beethoven is that even at the ridiculously relaxed pace of the opening movement, the poetry of this sublime piece still comes through! If anything, the work's majesty is enhanced by the slow tempo. The runs in the development section of the first movement actually resemble a cadenza!

The second movement of this sonata is definitely very Schubertian

I think he nailed this very difficult work with great resonance and depth. What a pity that he could not gain greater musicianship as he grew older.

Have some patience for his later style, some of his newer interpretations are unparalleled.

Different, but beautiful version! Every note sings... Definitely not the usual vanilla Beethoven interpretation 🙂

To anyone who loves this sonata, I suggest listening to Schubert's piano production. There are surprising affinities! (It seems that Beethoven had viewed some musical notes that the Austrian composer had sent him!)

In some ways the second movement could have sustained the slow treatment better than the first movement. With all the sturm and drang of the first movement, the second movement sounds like it's being typed out.

Все таки первая часть - "с живостью", а не классическое адажио. А вторая часть - классическое Рондо и исполнено весьма хорошо.

I think and feel Pogorelich really transmits the true Beethoven but Barenboim convinced me in op. 90 !Amazed by h Pogorelich 'spianism and the delicacy , invention ultimate communicativeness but Barenboim knows and convinces me in this music ! Wonderful in last only 2 movement Sonata .

Would be perfect if he played the first movement a little faster. Some parts are fast and nice though. Pogorelich is an original.
