Sometimes when I feel down I still come back to this song. It's like a portal to my old self, and it's amazing to self reflect and feel/see all the things I was, and how I've improved. I don't usually attach myself to songs but this one is perfect, and encapsulates every emotion I felt when I found it. May things get better and keep improving. Thank you Ivy Lab

The three bar phrases in this are such a simple yet effective stylistic choice that gives the track a bit of an otherworldly feeling without breaking conventions so much to be irritating. Genius.

It's still 4/4, but I get that you mean. The melody progession turnaround resolves on beat 4, versus the down beat of 1. Giving it a very different feel structure wise, to the chrod progression

this track reminds of being high as a kite at work as a barista and watching the espresso flow like it's in slow motion. i have no clue why. that said, the video is amazing.

Ivy Lab is IT man. Seen them many times here in Canada at BC's music festivals, I've always admired their style and ability to be versatile within and outside of their genre. This video is beautiful.

My friend played this to me, hes a DJ and we started talking music last year. I hve been looking for this track for 6 months. pre-capitalist electronic music had sampling (before armies of lawyers marched to get super protective over intellectual property resulting in unique collage style being destroyed). sound packs essentially are corporate sampling; sampling through the market. it's why you can't really break out like CasualDude says. if you could sample literally any music (with sufficient quality) without worrying about monetary barriers, it wouldn't be an issue. every artist could be unique, and develop their own style easier.
