SMALL BUSINESS VLOG 17🕯🌿
Hi guys! This week in the vlog we did lots of burn testing for our new hugeee candles we're launching soon. It takes a lot of time but is worth it to be able to make great candles that are highly scented and long lasting, I hope this shows a little insight into how lengthily the process to finding the right wick can be!

Hello, just discovered your channel, very helpful! Is there a particular brand or model of wax melter for candle making that you would recommend. I am using coconut and rapeseed seed wax, so melting point is quite low. Thank you

Thank you for another great video :) it really does help. I was just wondering that when you're testing a new scent in a new jar, I saw that you put your wick in after it had gone hard, is this how you test the right wicks?. If its not right, do you just take that one out and put a new one in, or do you then have to put a different wick into a new jar? Hope my questions make sense to you?

If there is any chance you can advise on a brand of Wick you use... A struggling candle maker would love to know. I have your fireside candle burning away at present and love it, I make and sell aromatherapy candles but really love the look of your flame/Wick. Thanks Alimental Scents

I find that fabric shears give the cleanest sharpest cut. I even cut my labels with it.

What wax do you use on candles ?

We use a soy coconut blend in our candles 🙂

I did research on soy wax and found that soy bean farming has caused the worst devastation to the Amazon forest. It’s depressing , so I’m switching to coconut wax now

So we definitely shouldn't buy it from there, thankfully most suppliers are aware of this and now buy from European soy farms where they have to follow strict European regulations on the crop and also fair pay for the workers.
