ok, i've been listening to this song and jamming out until i actually paid attention to this video and oh my god. like this song was all about her not getting love reciprocated and being taken care of by her lover which led her to be depressed and unfortunately decided to end things. then the end came and she cut the string off herself and decided to love/take care herself instead of trying to have someone else fulfill that role because it led her to be unhappy.

Damn the part when you're holding yourself... I've been in that position so many times. Picking yourself up again after being at the lowest depths is so hard to do. I sometimes dread that more than the depression itself. Cause that takes a lot of courage and strength to do and finding that in yourself is an uphill battle. Sometimes it feels easier not to. But I've never once regretted it.

This music video is so amazing and it literally saved my life. It has such a strong message and when she cuts her self down and hugs herself I was just in tears at that. This taught me that I need to stop being so hard on myself and since I will be stuck with myself for the rest of my life I need to start loving myself and give myself a hug since no one else will. I am the only one who can pick myself up and I understand that now. I am now on the journey to get better. Thank you so much you are now my favorite music artist ever 💕 all of your music is so amazing and I have all of your songs on repeat.

This song is really touching to me. I attempted suicide 3 weeks ago. I tried to overdose on pills I took ten. It's a blessing I'm still alive. I haven't been taken advantage of in a relationship but I can relate to a aspect of I've been taken advantage of by family and friends. I can relate to the fact that you can be so nice and giving to someone but when you don't get that same respect back. It can drive you to suicide and depression. I'm here for anyone that's going through a tough time in there life. I love you and you matter, your feelings matter and you deserve to be heard.! ❣️

this video is so surprisingly powerful.. if you've ever been suicidal, you feel completely alone in the world, and the only way you can truly make it out is if you learn to hold & soothe yourself like that. no matter how anyone treats you/doesn't love you. Alexander McQueen also committed suicide, a beautiful reference; RIP to that angel & genius.

I always jammed to this song and one day I looked up the video and it really painted a picture and gave the words a deeper meaning. There's so many little pieces in the video that really put it into perspective like the Chester t-shirt. She's honestly just an amazing artist throughout and I wish I would've found her sooner. Currently also obsessed with juice, if you haven't heard it its awesome!

Sucks that you arent that well known yet bUT THE BRIGHT SIDE TO THOSE WHO FOUND HER. We the first few thousands of people found her before she got famous. When she gets famous, has mils of views , etc.. I can proudly say with confidence that i found her out before she got famous. Keep doing what you do. i strongly believe iyla is the way forward for today’s age of music. her sound is so smooth and melodic but still encompasses those raw, bittersweet tones, both in her soulful voice and potent lyricism. it’s so refreshing to hear bodies of work like the war + raindrops ep which feel whole and as if they were created with heart and purpose, something that is slowly draining away from the meaning of modern music. i think we desperately need powerful women like her at the forefront of the scene because no one is truly doing it the way she is at the moment.
