Thanks for watching...we'll get one up about that. Generally speaking.. almost everything needs a high pass at around 70 except for bass and kick…. but you can go much higher for the high pass with some synths… sometimes put o 350 or 400…or more…. Even with Bass, putting a high pass at 35, 45hz clears up that lowest octave tha you really don't need in most mixes… unless you need that for R+B an other sub stuff… For vocals, most mics require scooping out the "wolly".. If you say, "wolly".. that 350-650 hz needs a scoop with a medium bandwidth… sometimes a few DB…. always better to scoop in the box first before boosting the highs… then you just wind up with a tinny sound… and a tiny sound. Brad's really big on getting out of solo… we have an episode on that… it's more about how frequencies work together than how each instrument sounds in solo…..
