What’s the point of 5 axis if you have to have a guy take the part out and flip it over?

The point is to have access to various features located on different planes in one setup without moving the part. Then it is obvious that you still have to flip the part at some point but you raduced the number of setups. You cannot make a part like that in 2 setups on a 3 axis.

He meant that the second part could have been done in one operation with a 5 axis vise and tabbing
