I had a chalice on 1, so I couldn't pay just 1 for the Metldown

Why did you cut the Chrome Mox? That seemed like a big oversight with this list, the mana is too slow

What can I say. First minute, you do not counter counterbalance with 2 counters in your hand.

My logic was that I needed to make my lock piece get through vs Force of Will etc and I figured 3's would be pretty rare in my opponents deck as usually Counterbalance decks are heavily stacked at the 1-2 slot. I was wrong and it went poorly.

If that harbinger of the seas a real card in modern horizons 3. I guess you could cut out red all together?

Yeah, I reckon so, although giving decks blue mana in Legacy is def worse than giving them mountains.
