I bought this vice from my friend / anklein2 and he was kind enough to come out and help Maggie and I install it on my workbench. I can not overstate how awesome this bench is. It has besides its amazing appearance it has some performance enchaining abilities that make a pure joy to use. Not only is it the most innovative twin-screw bench vises that I have seen, it brought 3 of my favorite people together for a wonderful day of fun, laughs, and making. It doesn't get any better.

That vise is beautiful. Looks like has some crazy clamping force behind it. I'm sure you won't have to worry about anything moving in there once them jaws chump down. Enjoy..and thank you for all the great videos and amazing ideas.

More of this type of video. There are so many expensive tools/addons/etc out there, actually seeing them installed/used and discussed/demonstrated is very useful (your videos on the grabo are great for this also). We know you build so many things, so something that you find wonderful is probably something we will find wonderful. Please keep sharing!

absolutely amazing. The whole time I was watching this I was thinking "that is cool but it has to cost way more then it is worth" the build quality is second to none. Watching you put it together I thought for sure it cost $800 or more. I checked out the kickstarter just for a laugh...and joke is on me. definitely affordable, definitely worth it, definitely, going to buy one. Thanks for the review Izzy (and Maggie). The 24” vise, with swivel attachment and fast-action handle, sells for $664, without shipping costs. That’s way too much to spend on a vise; especially when a slightly modified Moxon vise can be just as quick and versatile. But if you really need versatility from a vise, then go for an Emmert pattern maker’s vise-it’s a far better choice.

Two observations, I am glad in that last bit of the video you said "our bench" as opposed to "my bench" in many parts of the video. Secondly, I love the way Maggie keeps it cool all along the video. Congrats both for a great addition to your shop and Andy for building that super cool vice.

Glad you have Andy. I have one of these. My issue is if you don't have a perfect bench to attach it, it will bind. Suggest to Andy to offer an aluminum mounting plate that would overcome any bench issues. I would pay for one.

What a great bench vise! My only complaint would be withe the speed handle/crank mounted, if your not careful when walking by it may take a knee or a hip out if your not paying attention! It would be better if the handle of the crank pivoted from 90deg (sticking out) to 180deg (flat and out of the way)! Just a thought!

The video was awesome. Lots of information which is always good. The only part I didn't get to see in depth was the prep work you had to do to get the vice installed. Other than that, PERFECT!
