at 5:50 you are meant to GIVE way to another boat, they(#6) are 'tacking' so that there is no collision, NOT for giving an UNFAIR ADVANTAGE to the other boat(#3)!!, or just to scare the bejesus out of other boaters!! - as they get far too close to each other.
