Hey Julianna. Thanks for getting in touch. I'm keen to create a space on this channel where people can find artists they identify with and make them feel represented and positive about the community. For that reason including female voices is definitely something I think about when coming up with a release list. Syd and Erykah were my two most recent female voices and my next video on a single artist will be featuring a female voice (this week I'm doing something slightly different with both female and male voices). With my early videos on the channel, the balance was weighted towards male artists, which was admittedly due to a lack of planning and awareness, and a lack of conception about the affect on the audience. Going forward I'm looking to get that moving consistently in the right direction, and represent all the artists that teach/inspire me (both female and male), so just know the comment is heard and appreciated.
