I have not listened to this in years. All I know is when this came out in ‘81 I was all over this since I had just graduated HS and skate core kinda stuff I always bought. What’s driving me nuts is not knowing when and where I parted ways with this single. I always remembered Count because it made me laugh it was done almost before it begins. This is awesome, good listen.

Yo!!!’n I remember seeing them a few years ago at UNIT B skatepark/venue in Santa Ana Ca.!! They played there twice, but the second time HOLY COW it was raining people from the second floor , everyone was dancing and fools were skating the pools! JODY FOSTERS ARMY FOREVER!!

I wouldn't get too hung up on classifications but if ya looked up skate punk in an encyclopedia there would be mugshots of JFA, RKL and Gang Green. Surf punk was earlier and more melodic like Agent Orange and early TSOL. SOM were goth like but they came a bit later and were a bit more commercial. Its ike how people call the Offspring skate-punk. There not punk and likely can't skate (well enough to be skate punks) but were certainly influenced by it.
