The female rapper on this 🤯🤯🤯🔥🔥🔥The reason I have always loved BTS, is they are not "K-pop." They started out as a hip-hop group. And Jhope, in particular, loves 90s and 80s old school beats. It speaks to a part of me and has a sense of "hope" to it, that I think music has been missing lately. And JHope isn't even in this mv version. Neuron was the name of his dance crew before he became BTS. I look forward to your discovery of the rapline. One of my all-time time favorite songs of JHope's is Piece of Peace. There is only a live video of him at Lollapalooza. Definitely worth the watch. He also has a song called What If that samples ODBs Shimmy Shimmy Ya Enjoy 😘💜🫰🏻🫶🏻

Love seeing the J-hope appreciation 👏🏼💜. I wouldn't say this is really kpop. J-hope and bts (J-hope is a member of bts) are far from typical kpop. He's one of 3 rappers they have on the team. And they're legit & pay homage and respect to the greats in the genre. Hope you check out more! Btw, J-hope is currently serving in the military (along with the rest of bts) so that's likely why he's not in the video.

There's a 'visualizer' version that actually shows JHope dancing to the song. It's under BangtanTV 'JHope Neuron Visualizer'. He doesn't appear in this video since he's still in the military. He made the album before enlistment but didn't have time to make an official MV before he was in the military.

Before Jhope joined Bighit and then BTS he was a member of a street dance crew called Neuron, he was very young then. He started classes for hip hop dancing when he was just a kid.

This entire album is terrific. You ought to also check out Jhope’s performance when he headlined at Lollapalooza a couple of years ago.

Jhope is a member of bts and they are from south korea. Rignt now they are all serving their mandatory military service . They will regroup in june 2025. jhipe also has a song with jcole. called on the street. Bts have surpassed kpop they simply make all genres.

For J-Hope, I recommend More, Arson, and Chicken Noodle Soup. For BTS, I'd recommend On: Kinetic Manifesto, Mic Drop, and Black Swan. I'll also recommend a couple of the other two rappers' solo work for now. All seven members have amazing solo music you should hear, though. I'll recommend more if you keep reacting to BTS. So for RM, I suggest Joke, Yun with Erykah Badu, and Still Life with Anderson .Paak. For Suga (aka Agust D), I recommend Daechwita and Haegeum. Yoonmirae is Koran American and is married to one of the OG's of South Korean Hip Hop Tiger JK. She done quite a bit of work with the South Korean Government helping Mix raced Children in South Korea. She's a army brat bascially Father is American while on duty in South Korea met and married a South Korean lady and after they were moved back to the USA Tasha (her American Name) was born. She has lived part of her life in the USA with her parents and half in South Korea.

South Korea is the place where they are from. Gaeko is from Dynamic Duo, and Yoon Mi-rae is from MFBTY, both Hip Hop crews from South Korea. BTS debuted in 2013 as a HIP HOP IDOL Group, and J-Hope is the Dance Leader and part of the Rap Line in BTS, which consists of RM, SUGA aka Agust D, and J-Hope. BTS has grown over the years, and incorporated many genre's into their catalogue and skill set. Ultimately, BTS stay true to their Hip Hop and RnB roots. I don't know if you have listened to any BTS, but they are amazing, and they all seven of them have solo projects.

J Hope's going back to his roots in Hip Hop which for him started with Dance and 'Neuron' was the name of the Street Dance Crew he was part of. His Muse is J Cole BTW. "Is this kpop?" that's open to debate 😂 First we need to answer "what is kpop?" and you'll get different answers for that too. It's a word created outside of South Korea, and used by different media and streaming platform for any kind of Korean pop and pop-adjacent music. In their country, when they adopt it they use it mostly for "idol music". The idol industry includes a lot of genres, and you could say it had a certain "sound" in different times along its history, but the main key is that music is not the only component, but also gives a lot of importance to the dance performance, the "concept" (fashion and looks accompanying each song/album) and the relationship with their fans j-hope is one of the 7 members of BTS, a band which was conceived as a hip-hop crew but ended up debuting as a "hip-hop idol" group. So they had all other components of the idol industry, and their music was mostly hip-hop and a bit of other related genres like R&B With time, and as they grew both as people and as artists, they started to open to more genres, but they always kept their roots in hip--hop. They also kept elements of the idol industry: they still take part or the music shows common for promotion in the industry, each album is full of pictures and extra content, and they still have a close relationship with ARMY, the fandom. But they're so big now you could say they transcended the boundaries of both their country, and the niche audience outside their country which enjoys "kpop" A couple of years ago, they started the process of entering their country's mandatory military service. And with it they started an era of official solo work (before that, we only got mixtapes and some singles here and there) Each of them have a very distinct style. j-hope gave us two albums: Jack in the Box (with an extended edition with live versions and remixes) and Hope on the Street: Vol 1. This one is where Neuron comes from. The album is the soundtrack of a documentary series about street dance styles he created and "left behind" to be released while he's still on service. "Neuron" is the name of the street dance crew he was part of as a teenager PS: between the two albums, and right before entering his service, he released "On the Street", a collaboration with J. Cole

This is Korean hiphop. Not everything that comes out of Korea is k-pop. That's like saying everything that comes out of the US is US-pop. Every country has genres of music. Referring to everything that comes out of Korea as "k-pop" is really a western way of otherizing these artists. J-Hope's album, Hope on the Street, which this song is part of- is a short album inspired by street dancing. And if you go through the album, you'll find he did a different style of song for the different style of street dances. It's really pretty cool!
